IMO: Julia is S tier. I dunno why.. Something about the style, but also that creepyness. It's just magnificent. But love to hear everyone's thoughts on these things! it's so diverse, meaning there's something for everyone.

I also +10'd a Raven because of his Resplendent art. It's so fucking good, probably my favorite Resplendent to this day

Ngl, I LOATHE the fairy resplendents. They only have one good one and its Elincia. Tana looks like someone smashed her face, Eirika just doesn’t look like a threat at all, Delthea looks dumb, and Lucina.

These tier lists are so subjective there's really no point arguing, but... I admit Bike's placement got me tilted, haha. The original art is great and there's of course the symbolism behind it. Lord knows he didn't need the extra stats. But imo an outfit that stylish and art that clean doesn't deserve to get dumped that low. Minerva got robbed as well. Such colorful, unique art.

Honestly I'd put Amelia and Eldigan's art in the same tier, it sounds crazy but I really love both of those.

Resplendent Julia looks like someone popping their head out from a dark hallway and I can’t get over it.

I feel like there should’ve been two different tier lists, one for the resplendent at a vacuum at face value, and another is how much they improved from the original art because def don’t agree with some of them tier list placements

Eldigan, Tailtiu and Elincia are just out-of-this-world beautiful. Especially Eldigan.

I havent seen the entire video, but from the finished list, I would put Celica, Julia and Azura in S tier, and drop Caeda, Lilina and Cordelia to A or B tier. I really want the Celica and Julia artists to make more art for feh because I liked both the artystles.

Super fun video! Admittedly I disagree on some of them (I'd have Shanna in D and I'd move Rein & Brave Ike up quite a bit), but it was a really fun discussion to listen to.

This was a slot of fun to watch, I personally would have put Leif and Minerva in S (still under Eldigan because I think he has the best art in Feh) But I was having fun watch you discuss your “hot takes” over what I like. Also Hector Doge is the best thing I never knew I wanted to know.

Shanna fan here, absolutely love this character. I'm waiting for an opportunity to buy feh pass so i can get the extra stats on her but I will be switching back to the regular art immediately.

Also I think the her resplendent artist based her damage art on her tripping on her cape like when she tripped on her cape when she was a toddler! Which was a really cool touch! I hope we get baby sanaki on Tellius baby banner next year that would be adorable and if would be funny to see her talking about how she trips on her cape lol!

I definitely agree that R! Nowi is the best Nowi we have in art. And even though it didn’t totally cover her up it did cover a lot more than the other two. Also agree on R! Lucina the design is great but the actual art is awful to me for making her look like a five year old

I don't even think that the Lucina Resplendent art is bad by any means. It looks fine. The issue I have is why the artist/IS decided to make her into a child for it? Like if they had put that design on a child banner, people would've loved her but when she's supposed to look like Lucina in another realms outfit it just falls flat.

The editing in this video is really good. I agree with a lot of your placements, except I like to give more credit to the ones that are unique like Eirika, Julia, and Amelia

I have a positive way you can interpret little Lucina: I think of it as though it were her actual young alt like young marth, caeda, eirika and the like. And the fact that her future was doomed, she had to pick up the sword at a young age

Glitter also agrees Deirdre deserves a resplendent the absolute solidarity here.

the only placements that i disagree with are azura being too high and amelia being too low, imo azura belongs in the D tier and amelia should be S with azura her design is fine in concept but that art is just plagued with really basic errors, like the hand that is in front of her chest being smaller than the hand at her side and her leg seemingly coming from behind her waist, also while one wrist is viewed from the side and the other from the flat theyre both drawn the same width its really off-putting with amelia im really glad she no longer looks like a 6 year old she actually looks like amelia now and the overall design just suits her better and the colour scheme is really nice though i still think amelia shouldve been a cav. amelia was the first character i really liked when i played sacred stones as a teenager so its nice to see her done justice

Add me to that group of 12 who love Serra. Her game was my first FE, and she was one of my favorite characters. Now in FEH she has single-handedly seen me through SO MANY Tempest Trials with her Miracle and Absorb+ Razzle-Dazzle staff. She's had full merges and Dragonflowers for ages before I was pleasantly surprised by the Resplendent boost; now I'm just holding out hope she'll be one of the next Staff prfs like Mist.

I figured out why I don't like the art style by Yamada Koutarou while listening to your discussion! I think it's mainly caused by the eyes and noses...He always makes some characters' eyes larger and longer. And the way he drew those noses made the face and eyes looked even bigger. His characters constantly reminds me of Kirby lol. Well Lyn's Japanese VA also does Kirby though, maybe that's why.

You got me with B!Ike. His resplendent is my favorite of them all (well, before they released Raven I guess). Did he need one? No. Does it make sense to give brave heroes respendents? Not really. But the art alone makes him S-Tier for me. Best looking Ike in the game.

Eldigan looks like he came out of either Hades or Castlevania.

I have about a dozen resplendents and I use vanilla skins for both Tana and Amelia. Pure coincidence they’re both from sacred stones

25:11 the memories this gave me with him being my first 5 star, i think his live 2d animation thing was probably the best by far as most really just wiggled their arms or slightly raised their weapons where as takumi's felt like he was actually doing that.

Tailtiu was the first blue mage I attempted to +10. For some reason I never finished her but after her resplendent came out I've been toying with the idea. Using Ardent Sacrifice with Winter Bernadetta would be a funny way to charge an AOE special and be a WoM beacon thanks to being the only mage with Wrath.

I hope Rika Suzuki put their Eldigan art on the fridge when they were done

i think it would've been nice to factor in the voice lines, particularly if the VA sounds very different/is straight up a new person. While art is the main focus of resplendents the VA performance has made or broken many resplendents for me, especially as someone who usually plays with animations off. then again maybe it'd muddy the waters and make tiring each character too hard, idk.

Only one I hard disagree with is Minerva. I think she looks so damn amazing! Also I disagree with how high Nowi is out of hatred for the character. Makes me really uncomfortable that she is sexualized in any capacity. Her design is one of the worst in FE history for me because of that.

The new resplendent is Jótun Ishtar and I think she was drawn by Crusader Julia artist or Rika Suzuki. I think it's a S-rank ♡

I loved the video and I really like hearing you both discussing about anything so thank you two for doing this. I generally agree with at least one of you on every character except for maybe Lucina. I get why people don't like Lucina's art and I agree that making her a child and showing those armpits is completely unnecessary and wrong, but I think that, if you just see the art without knowing who she is, it is really good (I personally love the colors and how her eye glows when she procs the special) so I think that she could be a C tier or even low B (I like her more than Leif).

Time to cancel Speedy? Let's see it EDIT: Hey, as a Shanna fan I know there are more than 2 of us, there's at least 4 thank you. But yeah, the art's a bit strange, but the choice for her to get a Resplendent? Remember how you said that some units need the extra stats and others don't?

I think I agree with most of these, but give my opinion on some of my favorite characters. Ike- I like og Ike’s art a lot, but as for the brave one I still love the resplendent, but I agree with what you two said about it. Raven- I agree, he looks great, and I like his art a lot, I wish older units could get even more stats though, but hopefully he can get another refine Sothe- I like his art a lot personally, also I think that his frame is how Kaze should’ve looked, they made Kaze skinny, but Sothe’s build is how I would picture Kaze Sonya- I agree, I’m waiting for her to get an alt that actually captures Sonya Chrom- I also agree, he’s drawn better, and he actually has muscle this time (I still think Paladin Chrom has the best art though, or maybe tied with resplendent Chrom?) Alm- it would be good if it was supposed to be a slightly younger Alm, sort of like how Duo Lyon and Ephraim are Hector-I like the art, I think the face just kind of looks odd? Not the face it’s self, just the proportions? Lucina- like you guys said, the art would be better if it was a child awakening banner or something, I won’t lie though, the actual artist kind of effects my opinion as well because apparently they draw certain art of children (I never cared to look it up the because of that reason) Eliwood- like you guys said, he looks amazing Delthea- I like her art a lot Ryoma- I agree, his normal art captures him way better, I can’t really see Ryoma in any other armor other than his iconic red armor, so he’s better off in a seasonal art or something Azura- I think I prefer normal Azura, but I do like the clothes on resplendent Azura like you said A little off topic, but I hope Lon’qu, Owain/Odin, Lloyd, Jaffar, Shiro (I have a feeling Shiro will get a legendary alt before he gets a resplendent), Linus or Elise can get an alt eventually

Commenting before I watch the video, bit of fun to see if I can guess the top tiers beforehand! Eldigan - Art is amazing, he suits the Hel aesthetic so well Raven - Like Eldigan, amazing art and he suits Hel. Also a major upgrade imo Cordelia - One of the firsts, and a much needed art upgrade Micaiah - Speedy has input... surely she's top Serra - Really nice art, and even if it wasn't, Glitter wouldn't allow anything less than Top Tier. Elincia - Glitter likes Elincia, and fairies. She looks amazing in Dokkalfheimr attire! (My personal favourite by far too) Lilina - Daughter Delthea - Speedy likes Delthea, and fairy suits her nicely Chrom - Again, art upgrade is fantastic. And he is one of Glitter's favourites, of which she is very protective Edit: Super happy with that prediction! I can't believe I forgot how good Eliwood's was though. Also I have to agree, cuboon is a god. I use all their art like Tana, Olwen and Reinhardt instead of resplendent. This was great fun to watch Speedy and Glitter, I enjoy these discussion videos a lot :)

Personally I would've put Robin to A tier because I genuinely love the art mostly because Hel style fits the bill with Robin's symbolism plus he looks like his core is running rampant with the energy of Grima and he's under control of said magic.

Raven's gotta be my number one. Eldigan is great too, but Raven is the reason I bought FEH pass and started whaling a little. And I agree more with Glitter about Sothe's alt than Speedy, because I see the resplendent designs as "upgrades." Like, the originals are Spider-Man, and the Resplendent form is Spider-Man with the Iron Spider armor. The gauntlets make me think of the first cutscene of RD, only Sothe is blocking the soldiers' lances instead of dodging them all. Other than that, I agree wholeheartedly with the list.

The base eirika looks so similar to the legendary one so I keep the replendant on.

I only got Lucina’s because A) I love her B) her design is the best and C) I don’t play with animations on so I just see the adorable Sprite. Her attack and special art has grown on me, but her damaged art is the worst. And yes, I did do the favor and draw Lucina’s base art in her resplendent outfit and it was beautiful. Now we need a B!Lucina one that gives us Lucina fans justice.

I think you got pretty much all of B and C right other than hector, which I really like, I think he should be moved way up in B. And then drop Nino to C. I like her original art much better. I think a couple of As were too high, but all in all, this is a very good list and isn't as you think.

I think the only one i have major Gripes with is the placement of Nino, especially after hearing the reasoning for Serra's placement since I feel the argument for serra's being good about how you can still tell it's her while also looking good also applies to Nino, don't get me wrong I think Nino's base outfit is wonderful as well, but that the resplendent is just as good if not slightly better than base and I myself would have put her right below Nowi with Amelia being below Nino. Also, while I don't like the face of Lucina's I agree that the outfit itself is still good and would have actually put her right above Robin.

Resplendent Robin was the sole reason I got the FEH pass for even a brief period of time. I absolutely love the costume and the fact that it was like Robin being a general of Hel. Idk I’m probably a strange case since I love anything to do with Robin, but I felt like it contrasted his normal art well by the implications involved in the costume. Like, why would he become a general of Hel? What happened? The bags under his eyes could represent the fact that he’s dead, or the fact that he’s just so tired of serving under Hel. Idk I think the art, and implications, just make it so cool to me. And no, I’m not disliking your video because I have Robin bias. That would just be rude.

Actually, I think both versions of Serra are wielding a Recover staff, so no PRF for her in the art-

I love base Linde, resplendent Eirika, Minerva, Chrom, Julia, Delthea, Eldigan, Micaiah, Nino, Raven, Tailtiu. I'd really like a resplendent Xander but it won't happen.

My relief when I saw R!Robin's placing was immense. No offense to the artist, but I despise that resplendent. On the other hand, Sothe and Chrom are amazing. Sothe's especially looks gorgeous.

So, one thing I want to say about Robin's resplendent that I don't like is the face looking pale like that of a dead person's and while I get that he was the 1st Hel alt and that he's supposed to look dead I counter that with this, if they're going to use that logic then they should have gone all the way instead of going with half measures and given him the visible skeleton as well.
