Hey BD, thanks for the buddy box set up video! I also want to thank you for the many many other videos of yours that I have enjoyed and learned MUCH from. You deliver well thought out content. Your information is always spot on, and the ordering is always good. I like how you mention little caveats to pay attention to in how to use or not to use certain features. What about trims? Do they have to be duplicated on the student’s transmitter when using the Pilot Link Master?

Pilot link, only the master/instructor has to be configured for trims.

Awesome and detailed info. Im using pilot link instructor and it works great for my sons aeroscout but I was wondering if my son wants to for example practice on my habu sts can I then just change model in my transmitter from the aeroscout to the habu sts and it will transfer that input without having to setup buddy box again? I mean for each model we choose to fly without having to setup buddy box to his transmitter every time when changing between models to fly? If the pilot link is setup to one model and bound it should work on whatever model I choose from my radio right? I m pilot link bound with my NX10 to my sons DXS transmitter.. 😊 Best regards

Rebind each model being used. Once you bind radios will stay connected on that model . So if you fly same model you dont have to do each time.Only when its changed.

@@BDTennessee thanx... Yes I was thinking about rebinding the student transmitter for the active bound model in my transmitter... Thank you so much for the help.. This spektrum wireless trainer is absolutely awesome... I have a lot of planes and with this my son can now move on from the aeroscout to the habu jet very easy.. 👍

What happens when you finish flying and you want to fly another airplane with your instructor radio. Does it have to be re-bound to the new airplane? Or can you just fly it without rebinding as per normal?

Fly per normal. Change to model and go.

Hi BD, what if you are at the field and a student has his plane and radio and wants to buddy box with you, and your radio does not have his plane set up on your radio how would that work?

Use student as Master. Setup Pilot Link Master.

IF it's like my 20se, when all ur models are on the selection screen, click the 3 vertical dots on top right, delete, select. 👍

BD: Is there a way to make a default template for every base model setup? I assume (i know🤷‍♂️) 14 & 20se r the same

I don't use the preset templates. They confuse me.

You will need to make a model as a base and use for future plane. NX has actual template you can make.Hopefully iX will get the option at some point...
