It’s well worth the money. I have pretty much everything Spektrum has made, and this device never leaves the Flight bag.

The servo tester has not been thought through to the end. Instead of specifying microseconds, it would be better to specify the endpoints in % (as used by the transmitter in the settings). Then you could simply transfer the values to the transmitter. Currently, knowing how many microseconds it takes for the servo pulse to bind is purely academic. Alternatively, a display in the transmitter in microseconds instead of percent would of course also be helpful.

@SpektrumRC Hi, thanks for posting this excellent video. Could I ask a couple of questions please? [1] What voltage is the servo PWM output? [2] Does the servo checker function require a smart battery, or may I use any battery of the appropriate voltage with either an IC3 or an EC3 connector?

Would like to see you use it on a plane. Thanks

Have brought one of these but it only has 3 buttons on it, is this an old unit or have you brought out a new one and not done a video on it yet?

So I need a smart battery to check my servos? I tried a regular lipo and the service checker did not work

How can I test the micro servo on this device,the servos with the little white connector?

Where is the information about the servo MIN and MAX stored, because you remove the Smart Checker when flying, does the servo remember its MIN and MAX ?
@SpektrumRCvideos3 жыл бұрын
It does not program servos. Those settings are simply the max that the checker is outputting for travel. Hope that helps!

Tom - I love this thing but have one problem. If I switch it to LIFE battery type and check a battery. Then later plug a LIPO in, I can't switch the battery type back to LIPO. I have to plug the LIFE back in, switch it to LIPO, then plug the LIPO back in. Any ideas oh great one Tom?

I have seen it asked a couple times in the questions, but never answered...if you set end points with this tool...then you unplug it and plug it in receiver and turn on radio, are the end points still set?
@SpektrumRCvideos4 жыл бұрын
No, your transmitter has no way of knowing what the endpoints you had set on the servo tester.

@@SpektrumRCvideos Thank you for the response, I thought that to be the case... regardless it is a neat little contraption.

Can you recanter the servo without adjusting the servo arms
@Heli42134 жыл бұрын
Should you hook this up and let the servos run for an hour or so to look for issues and run them in???

Hi Tom, 2S 6.6V 2200 life was charged and end voltage was 6.75. When used smart checker it showed 6.75 at 59%. The charged was 13 minutes and 51 seconds. I’m I doing something wrong! Paul

Hi Paul! Sorry for the late reply. When you plug in the battery to the checker, does it recognize it as a lipo or life? Also is your checker up to date?

@@SpektrumRCvideos I did find three different settings such as lipo, life…. Paul

Does this work with only Spektrum servos and/or Spektrum systems? Will it work on, say, a Traxxas servo? What about the age of the servo? I have a Super Rock Rey that has the (don't quote me as I can't recall the exact servo ID) S904 that I'm not sure is just dying or it's not responding well to my new aluminum bellcrank. I know endpoints definitely need adjusted and feel like using one of these would be easier than the blinking light process, the beep process, or using the Bluetooth module.
@SpektrumRCvideos4 жыл бұрын
IF its a standard 3 wire servo it will work. Digital, Analog, Heli, etc

@@SpektrumRCvideos Alright. One more question. If I change endpoints with the Spektrum tool, will the endpoints stay as I put them when I disconnect the tool? I would imagine it would but I just want to be sure before I purchase the tool. I am going to be getting the charger as I recently picked up a Losi that uses the Smart technology and there is a few features in which I definitely want to make use of.

Can you set end points or reset center?
@SpektrumRCvideos5 жыл бұрын
Sure can! Explained in the video
@Real.Alpheus5 жыл бұрын
SpektrumRC I see where you can limit the overall throw, but don’t see how you can use the programmer as a “sub trim” function. Other servo brand I have used allows one to sub trim out for perfect center and set the endpoints individually and it saves it. So no need to even use the sub trim in the radio. I’m interested in switching to Spektrum servos but just looking for more programming options.
@lasersailor66845 жыл бұрын
He says “sure can” but I don’t see that it can do this. Sure you can adjust the endpoints and center while it’s plugged into the device but as soon as the servo is plugged back into the receiver it forgets the settings and goes back to the way it was before. Am I missing something?

Where I can get the latest firmware of this smart checker XBC100 , I found pdf on Spektrum page witch shows XBC100_Smart_Checker_Updater.zip - but that contains 1.0.0.9 version. Mine checker came with version 1.0.0.14 - and I accidently hit ENTER when looking this screen - so it actually downgraded the device. Now my cell voltage measure is wrong :( - Where I can get that 1.0.0.14 or newer version of the firmware ?

Does the servo lead come with the XBC100
@SpektrumRCvideos3 жыл бұрын
There is no servo lead included, but in reality the leads you use will all be coming from the servo itself ;)
