He does something that Jokic himself does as well. Manipulate the pace. If the defender goes too fast, they're getting shot over. If they react slowly, someone else will get open. If they play at Luka and Joker's pace, they already lose because both players are always two to three steps ahead of the play.

i made a comment that his three point is like the perimeter version of Mchales torture chamber...if you hurry to block it...he shoots it slow, now you end up being scared to foul him cause you reacted too fast or you're playing catch up ... but if you wait he shoots over you...that why he has ppl on the perimeter looking weird af like they not defending...it cause they can't

He's 6'7", 240pounds, keeps his dribble alive, is not phased by hounding defense because he knows you can't touch people in the NBA. On top of that he's confident from everywhere on the floor and has good fundamentals.

He doesn’t have a dad body. Whatever that is. He’s powerfully built 6-7” 250 lbs tremendous hand eye coordination and deceptive quickness. On top of that he’s a phenomenal shot maker from anywhere and is a tremendous passer. He gets where he wants to go on the court deliberately but deceptively. Nobody who is dominating the NBA is an average athlete. He’s a world class athlete.

@@spenser6353 in terms of people like Ja Morant and Jaylen Brown and Lebron and Anthony Edward’s - no he’s not on that level athletically. But he’s very strong, deceptively quick and his hand eye coordination is Bird-esque. He also has the ability to get where he wants to be on the court as well as anyone who’s ever played.

I was really impressed with how Luka was bodying Lou Dort in the series against OKC. Luka was frequently throwing him away with the contact and Dort is built like a linebacker.

@@beachlife8367 Lowkey Dinwiddie was a great SG/ catch and shoot player that could occasionally get a iso play for 3/ 2*dunk*. If they were able to keep him with kyrie trade I can see them making playoffs that year. Dinwiddie thrives when he isn't primarily ball handler like Luka/Brunson. I remember hating the 2nd unit when he went full on dribble dribble dribble to a contested 3 or drive to a packed paint and get blocked.

He just knows basketball rhythm and how to throw people off that rhythm. It's a unique talent that one of my good friends from highschool had on our hs basketball team, he wasn't the tallest or the biggest, but for some reason if he got it in low he could always score with his super awkward fakes and timing. Sadly we lost him to a car accident. RIP Harv. Love and miss ya buddy.

It’s sad that when Dinwiddie and DFS left Dallas, they lost their minutes and touches. They say playing with Luka, who’s ball dominant, is hard, but look at the players he fed. Now Gafford and PJ Washington are reaping the harvest because they chose to be traded to the Mavs.
