Fighter Pilots’ life is not different from one to another country. As I jealously watched the video, I remembered my F4/F16 times, flying more than 5000 h, now in civil aviation, more than 20000 h, but never found the same taste experienced in the fighter fleets. Congratulations Colonel.

@@phillipbanes5484 Like I said “in terms of flight record” the F-15A/C is still greater it went against just as new migs and won every time 104-0 is better than 72-1, (F-16s record is still quite impressive) I understand that in a dogfight a F-16 would most likely beat an F-15 (obvious as its a newer jet) but in terms of combat record the F-15 has been far more of a success when it comes to air to air combat

@@phillipbanes5484 OH and btw a F-15Cs radar still has more range than a newer block 52 F-16C only reason its not being used over the F-16 is reliability like you were stating (because of the nose support beam issue) and the fact that its not FBW compared to the F-16

Best wishes to NOVA on his life going forward after his final EAGLE flight. Thanks to Spence for another epic vid. While watching this my weird thinking spun up a fictious want ad: FOR SALE: F15C Eagle One owner. Only 5K+ hours on airframe. All logbooks, maintenance and upgrade documents included. I was stationed in Lemoore NAS from 1985 to 88 and was in powerplants for the FA-18 Hornet. I was a turn man and have to say pushing the burners on High power was such a rush. Even your bone marrow feels like it's shaking. Love the hum at startup also. Congrats on retirerment and love the paint as well.

Thought I spotted several “remove before flight” tags on the last aircraft taxing out.

They are removed by the end of the runway crew, those pins prevent the explosive impulse carts from firing off and push the 600-gallon fuel tanks on the ground. Also, any weapons system would have their pins removed at ROR. Been there done that.

I don't get the dude that appears first in the cockpit [the only one with a mustache]. I don't think he is even part of the pilots team in the first place, cause he doesn't taxi with them and when the four pilots walk out of the building as a team, that dude is by the golf cart and none of the four pilots salute him. At the end, he is nowhere near the team. What's his deal anyways?

“Ragin’” is one of the pilots. There were up to 6 F-15‘s starting up their engines simultaneously. I couldn’t get them all walking out and starting up at the same time. I had the best angle on him initially when they were getting in so I took the initiative at the time. The main focus was the American flag jet while filming as much of the launches as I could.
