This week was so full with end of the year activities that I thought it could be fun for you to spend the week with me! I did get one furniture upcycle done, did my thrifting for my upcoming 40/40 challenge, stopped by an estate sale and I show you what it's like to run a small business while also being a busy mom.

Embrace, and be present. Mothers wear many hats all week for our families and often put our own needs aside, but seeing our children happy and taken care brings joy to our hearts. My week has been very emotional and soulful in searching for what’s really important. We welcomed with great joy another grandbaby girl, Lucy Jane, into our family, and with broken hearts we layed to rest our beautiful granddaughter of just 3 and a half months old Amelia Rose. The outreach of love and support to our family, has left me feeling truly blessed. ❤ I wish you and all Mothers a joyous and blessed Mother’s Day!

I remember those days well. I'm a mother of three girls, all grown and mother's now to my grands. It flys by so fast. Its hard not to get bogged down in the details of life, you are doing great! Your girls are beautiful. Happy Mother's Day.

Hadley gurlllll I love the Silks and the splits, I wish I were that limber again. I don’t have children Heather but I’ve worked with kids with disabilities most of my career…seeing your babies and all their activities made me smile and really miss interacting with the kiddos. I remember May always bring crazy, as all the spring and summer sports or clubs overlap! It is a month of many celebrations and milestones. There is so much for which to be thankful, but it is exhausting. 😊

Wow what a week. It's been 25 years since I went thru that .boy it sure bought back memories. I look back and wonder how I did it. Now times are slower but you have other things . Like your mind is young and your body says fat chance buddy. It's all a journey. Just ride the wave the best you can. I'm proud of you and love your videos.

I’m listening as I drive home from the goodwill outlet and I can’t tell you how similar my life feels right now as we bear the end of the school year! And I am so inspired by you. For some reason many reasons but I’m pulling into my driveway as I hear about your 10-min laundry time and I’m like “yess! That’s what I need to do in those random 10-15 min I have!!!” 😂❤❤❤

I came across an old sweater that belonged to my late grandmother. It had a large free stain down the front, the sweater is white. Someone recommended using Dawn Power Wash spray & wow! it worked!! I sprayed it on the stains, tapped it in, let it sit for a day & washed as usual. Came out perfect. 💕

This could not have been a more perfect video!!!!! First, I always wondered what your week looks like. Now I know. Holy cow! I was exhausted by Monday! 😂 They should rename Angry Mama’s to kick- ass mama’s bc of how much you all do. And this should be a required video for all of the parents who do not work and take care of the kids (aka The “ breadwinners”). Happy Mother’s Day indeed!!!!!!

Oxi-Clean powder for laundry stains! Just follow directions on container. Works like a charm. Good looking sofa table! Happy Mother’s Day, Heather.

You go girl! I felt your tiredness! I would try Oxi-clean on the bedspread and if it doesn’t work I would not dye it. Perhaps salvage the good parts and use it to make throw pillows. Your girls are lovely and wow, Hadley on the silks was amazing to see. Nice job on the black table and you will be blessed in return for your blessings. Happy Mother’s Day!

You made me exhausted watching this video and then at the end you asked if we remember those days! The answer is absolutely yes! I even wonder sometimes how I made it through certain years. We had 3 kids in 3 schools for 3 years, which was crazy and then had 3 "graduations" in 2 days and had a party for all 3 the third day (what was I thinking??!!!). Our 25th anniversary was also that May and there were, of course, so many end of the year activities since it was the last year for each of them. It was always busy, but 2012 was the most insane end of school year. I was also working 2 part-time jobs from home. My dad passed away during those 3 years and then I was caring for a lot for my mom. I felt like I need a super hero (or super mom) cape sometimes. I made it through somehow and feel I was stronger for it all. We all get a 24 hour day and I can still pack those days, but it is more what I choose to do over the schedule of everyone else. I hope you are having a well deserved, restful Mother's Day!!!

We have 4 kids (now 44, 37, and 33 year old twins boy and girl). Our craziest year was when our oldest daughter played high school soccer and the twins played rec league soccer and I coached both the girls AND boys team (yes, I am still recovering...🤣🤣🤣, but wouldn't trade it for anything❤️).

Great real life video! Lynne Brundage from Ellen J. Goods just had a video showing slipcovers she thrifted and cleaned with french bar soap. She swears by it. Maybe that will work on your chenille fabric.

*Heather, Jami and Zeb Ray buy A LOT of quilts, bedspreads and afghans at the Goodwill Bins for resale. Sometimes they have stains. Jami always gets them out with a soak in Oxi-Clean, followed by washing them in her washing machine. She has gotten stains out of chenille with this method MULTIPLE TIMES. I pray 🙏 it works for you, too‼️😃👍🏼 If it doesn't work, sell the chenille as a "cutter piece" that someone can buy to make DIY Pillows out of. They would be darling❣️😁🥰 I DON'T RECOMMEND using dye on this bedspread to cover up the stains; it will only DRAW ATTENTION TO THE STAINS. 😔😒☹️*

When I need to get stains and yellowing out of vintage fabrics I use Tide with bleach powder. Hot water in a small tub and then a full scoop or two of powdered Tide mix thoroughly and then soak your fabrics. I usually do a bunch of fabric at a time so it’s more cost effective but it works. You can then hang outside in the sun before rinsing if there are stubborn stains. Or for stubborn stains, baking soda and lemon juice. Scrub with the mixture and then put out in the sun. Then with both methods just wash and dry as usual. There are powdered vintage fabric washes out there, I usually get mine on Amazon, but Tide does just as well and doesn’t hurt the fabric and is cheaper. For blood stains you can use hydrogen peroxide or Clorox color safe bleach straight out of the bottle.

I remember those days. After a very stressful day at work, all I wanted was a Margarita. Instead, it was rushing home, cooking dinner, shuffling kids here and there. Throwing in a load of laundry and crawling into bed at 11:00 p.m. I don’t miss those days, but I’m thankful that I had a family. Happy Mother’s Day Heather.

In answer to the bedspread issue, I did try dying something once to hide discoloration, it then looked like a died item with darker discoloration.

Did the OxiClean work? If it didn’t, I was watching an Ellen J Woods video from one of her shorts and she sells a soap. I think she said it’s a Savon de Marseille her shop that she used on slipcovers that she purchased and were soiled. She used the Savon de Marseille and it whitened them up pretty nicely. Maybe you could check her website because I think she sells them, in case your oxy didn’t work as well as you would have liked.
