Hey guys!!! Join me on an unforgettable and eye-opening journey in SYRIA as I embark on a 13-day solo adventure across one of the most conflict-ridden countries in the world. This is not your typical travel vlog, as I go beyond the tourist hotspots and dive deep into the heart of Syria, experiencing the culture, the people, and the everyday life in a way that few outsiders ever have seen before.
From the ancient ruins of Aleppo to the bustling streets of Damascus and the lovely beach towns of Latakia, I capture the raw beauty and resilience of a nation torn apart by war. This is a side of Syria that you certainly won't see on the news, and it will leave you with a new perspective on the Middle East. Get ready to be moved, inspired, and maybe even a little bit scared as I take you on the trip of a lifetime.

I am from Jordan , we are the neighboring country of Syria .. Syria has been an escaping destination for us Jordanians .. most people in Jordan would spend there weekends in Syria as it’s extremely affordable and with great tourism sites and best food . Syria is a welcoming country with so many different people and backgrounds living in harmony.. the sea , the mountains and the old cities , Syria is the source of history.. we in Jordan hope Syria comes back stronger and safer than before because it has the potentials

Drew Binsky! Don't Abuse people for sake of yourself and because of that do not shake hands with devil. When you talk to politician as a tourist like you which you have a lot of follower is a big mistake and trust me none of them tell you the truth, like that Mayor in Sadad. The war in Syria start in 15 March 2011 as part of the wider 2011 Arab Spring protests to take down Bashar Assad Dictator and that was the time when Russa and Iranian dictator government with Qasem Soleimani start the was against Syrian people to save and keep Bashar Assad. and that is why 500,000 people get kild by Russians, Bashar Assad and Qasem Soleimani. So, ISIS exist in 2014, 3 years after Civil War in Syria.

Drew, I watched this video this afternoon and I can't thank you enough. I feel like my eyes have been opened, I learned so much. I felt quite emotional afterwards. We in the West are drip red information and images of Syria which mean our perception of it is filled with war, bombs, guns, and misery. What I took from your video was hope, positivity, and joy, despite hardship. The hospitality and kindness and smiles of the Syrian people will stay with me for a long time. I really did think it was wonderful. Thank you for showing the heart of Syria to all of us. From Sarah, UK.

As a Syrian immigrant, I just wanted to thank you for this amazing video where you have actually spotted the light on the true reality of how beautiful the nature of people there. How amazingly old & historic every sight & street you crossed upon. This is us. This is our country. We had & still have people with different religions & ethnicities. Yet, we always managed to be simply beautiful & good loving as one. Unfortunately, in this life, sometimes things just turn out to result in a very hectic way.. It’s so sad knowing that I have lost my country.. It is so sad knowing that every destroyed street in there was once a school for children, a hospital for the sick, a shelter for the orphans, etc. It literally bring me tears when I see all of that destruction.. Especially when I know that I have had actually witnessed how beautiful Syria was & how genuine everyone was before the crisis. I really love you Drew! You are one in a billion type of human to actually go all the way, & even through danger just to shed a light on the true beauty of my country. #ReBuildSyria ❤️

I have worked with refugees in America for several years, and I have been blown away by the Syrian refugees. They are the loveliest, friendliest, most personable people I've met. Clearly highly educated and a dignified, proud people, they are also gentle and sociable and accepting. I have learned so much from them, and I consider so many some of my closest friends. Knowing them and seeing the through line of how beautiful they are makes me want to go to Syria, learn Arabic, meet more, wish for peace, travel to work at refugee camps where I know they gravitate.....Really- they're amazing people.

It brougt orher powers such as turkey and Russia into the war I know the vidoa is akin to a tourist campaign...fine but tell the full story and the video would not be so bland and patronizing to s grest people and civilization...

Drew, this video is so mixed with emotions. It has certainly changed my view on Syria. It was so heartwarming to see how hospitable they all were despite the attrocities they have endured. I wrongly expected hostility towards you as you are from the west but it goes to show how the media play a huge part in influencing us. Thank you Drew for this fantastic insight and I wish the Syrian people peace and hope in rebuilding their beautiful country. From Karen in Scotland x

you must keep in mind that the syrian government won the civil war and slaughtered hundreds of thousands of people, particularly sunnis or those against the government. some people never left syria, and it was those who stood by and supported the government who was committing atrocities at the time. many of the people you saw, and i note this also from the comments they made, are pro-government. there's another syria we don't see. one man in the clip said syria... muslim Christian jewish all welcome/ well, not really because the civil war happened for a reason and if you were anti gov, or sunni, you're still persecuted. just keep that in mind. peace :)

As a Syrian, i‘m sad that People are changing their Point of view about Syria, every KZfaqr in Syria cannot even hold a Camera in their Hand without the Regime allowing them what to do and which places they are allowed to visit. The Regime ist trying so hard to convince the West that Syria is safe (especially for Christians) only to get some more recognition. What you experienced in this Video is the best out of Syria the rest of the country is still in complete destruction.

I am from Sudan, I have the most love and respect to all the Syrians out there. It is a shame what politics (and external meddling) did to your country. I remember in the early 90's when people from Sudan used to go for holiday in Syria and they come back with amazing stories about the beauty of Syria and its people. As Drew said, we look forward to a brighter future but someone needs to be held to account for the destruction of Syria.

@@pm3302 how much time do you have. Long term struggle between democracy and a certain political party. War ignited due to rapid defence forces (which was formed by previous ousted president) and the army. From the outside it’s a rebellion but the reality is a regional struggle for influence over sudan. With loads of Arabs and African as well as eu, Russia and usa involved by proxy in some shape or form each after their own interest (but fronting human rights). The result is total destruction and civilians suffering.

Drew, thank you so much for this video, it was really touching. I visited Syria in 2001 and 2002 and I was so happy to be able to see how things are now. The friendliness, hospitality and generosity of the Syrian people is incredibly humbling, and something that has stayed with me. Syria will always hold a special place in my heart too. I've been everywhere, BUT Syria was one of the best country in the world. I was there last year in 2023. It was sad to the aftermath of war, but coming from Croatia it was something we also went through. The people are the best, warm, hospitable, kind, humble, proud and respectful to all religions. I was also surprised to see people with red hair, so the Crusades were there. Safety, you will have a better change of getting in trouble in the USA, France, ... then in Syria. The exchange rate is crazy, but I would give them a bundle of money, they would count and return the change, never cheated. Hands off Syria, let them live in peace.

Those two men really warmed my heart as well. I also understand why the kept working even while bombs were flying. My maternal grandma was an older teen/young adult during WW2 and she told stories about knitting and doing other stuff just to keep sane and keep her mind even a bit busy to not think about the horrible things happening. Gives you something productive to do while the world is burning around you. My paternal grandparents were a bit younger and were younger kids about elementary school age and they also did stuff like play especially my grandma who was born in the same city I also live and was born in and she was the oldest sibling just trying to help her younger sisters while the city was bombed and they constantly were hungry because rations weren't always easy to get either. Keeping busy in some way is what keeps you from completely breaking.

The resilience of Syrian people and everyone in the Middle East is amazing and jarring at the same time, there’s gunfire nearby and to them it’s just a tuesday😂 I think they’ve dealt with so much bc their governments will operate as they please, that they’ve learned to just go with it and find life and laughter, making the most out of every day.
