I am so impressed with your mum - she speaks English well (no wonder - she is an English coach) and is so relaxed before the camera. Your sister is more self conscious, perhaps less confident with English. Beautiful place to grow up in. Have a great stay.

Really enjoyed that Ken, parts of your home village look alot like here in the UK. Now we know why your English is so good, having a English teacher mum! What lovely kampung. Your house is also so quaint. I love how your mom said that using heater doesn't have a nice smell compared to a furnace, to which I agree. Burning firewood have such a lovely smell. Your kampung doesn't seems like it houses that many people Ken.

Thanks for showing it to us!😉 When ur mom started talking about the dish, I was VERY surprised that she could talk & express herself so well & confidently in front of the camera! Then I found out the reason later in the video (she's an English coach after all)! Seems like Ken only likes fish & seafood cooked / prepared in ASIAN style!😆 Oh btw Ken~u have a PRETTY sister!😁

Your mother and sister are both young and beautiful, and your house is beautiful and comfortable; if I live there, it's like a vacation, I definitely don't want to travel anywhere. P.S. Watching your mom's cooking made me hungry, but it's midnight here! 😭BTW, the language used in Singapore is the same as that of China. You should add orthodox Chinese. Traditional Chinese characters are only used in Taiwan now, because even some characters in Hong Kong are different！ Another P.S. Hi Ken,im from the UK and just to inform you that Liverpool (they are known as Scousers)used to cook a meal called locally lobbies or lobscouse.I think the ingredients were slightly different to your mums.This name apparently was taken or adapted from the meal Norwegian sailors used to cook Lobsskause.It was eaten a lot by Liverpuddlians hence they got the nick name Scousers.

Yes…. Lobsskause …. History is so funny . Liverpool and Liverpudlians are the most lovely and quite diverse people in the uk. It’s something to do with being a port city, the Irish culture, relative poverty and Catholicism.

Like the atmosphere in your village, especially the greenery along the road and the park with the lake. Talking about square trees, I have seen quite similar cut trees in Malaysia too, but I cannot recall where. Hi Ken, I've been following your exploits around Asia and thoroughly enjoyed them. Now it's back to one of my favourite countries in Europe, Germany, where I lived for around 15 years over 3 separate occasions, but mainly in the Ruhr areas. I have to say that you all put me to shame (I'm English) as my German is practically nil compared to your excellent English, especially your mums'. I had to listen hard to detect an accent and for a moment I thought she may have been English. I love the beautiful, clean countryside in Germany, the villages are so well kept and every one has a sports field as I recall. I look forward to seeing more of your lovely country and perhaps your mum and sister also.

Thank you for the local tour as well. It looks very inviting and peaceful. The traditional meal looks very tasty. Julia J and I will make it together in a couple of weeks time.
