my girlfriend and I used to watch this with her little brother, lol.. and yeah, her dad walked in on all three of us one night watching this in the living room. he had just gotten home from his work, collapsed on the couch... asked us what we were watching and just looked at his son like, "don't tell your mom I let you watch this." we ended up watching two whole episodes back to back... and he was laughing harder than us. THIS was the skit that made him laugh the hardest.

I had so much fun watching this growing up lol, it wasn't necessarily about the crazy stunts, it was just a bunch of friends hanging out having fun. It always had a very 'real' and laid back atmosphere

@The Gaben The more in-depth story is they were filming some stunts at a ski resort, and the poor girl broke her back after deciding to go for a ride down the slope on a fully bedded air mattress. It was that day that Jonny Knoxville and crew realized that filming women getting horribly maimed did not provide the same comedic value as watching the regular crew do those stunts. That realization ended her Jackass days which is why she's only seen on the early episodes. Edit - she was riding down the slope on a mattress, not a porta potty. :)

I remember watching Jackass with my mom and dad when I was a kid. They loved the show. I thought it was hilarious too. Me and my friends would reproduce pranks and stunts they did on the show and laugh like idiots when we got hurt. Too bad we didn't have smartphones back then to have recordings.
