Black girl sunscreen just came out with a clear gloss, no fragrance spf 50 it's so good! My only gripe with spf lip products is i tend to get some in my mouth and the taste is just weird. It may be just how i apply 😌

Thanks a great video to see all the different lip spf's lip balms. I just had lip squamous cell cancer in February of this year. I went through a very painful experience with a Mohs surgery for removing the cancer. I started using Coppertone Sport Lip Broad Spectrum spf of 50. It smells like summer and goes on clear. Now I have some with me every time I go outside. Having the lip cancer has been such a traumatic experience that I now find it is very hard for me to even go outside, or leave my house. I think that my surgeon said there are still pre-cancerous cells there which really scares me that I could have to go through another surgery in the future. I am staying indoors so that the scar can heal with the best results. I go back and see him in July and I will ask him more questions. This truly has been a horrific experience and it is hard to get back to a normal life. I have had other surgeries on my face, collarbone, arm, shoulder & back for basal cell and squamous cell lesions. This lip surgery had really affected me the most of any of the surgeries I have had. Growing up a tomboy and enjoying the outdoors I have already made so many changes to my activities since I started the skin cancer journey back in 2012. It really challenging to move forward with doing any thing outside after this last experience. I have an app in which I check the UV levels before I even go outside. I just hope that after I see him in July that I can move forward with my life and move past this experience.

My favorite was from Fresh. All of a sudden, they got rid of spf in their tinted balms. I'm at a loss. The colors were amazing and protected from the sun so well. I don't like regular SPF balms....you can taste the nastiness.

I love the Aquaphor lip sunscreen in a TUBE (squeeze out). It feels just like Aquophor or Cereve healing ointment on the lips. Very hydrating and lightweight.

Perfect timing. I've been needing a new SPF for my lips.

My favorite is Banana Boat Aloe Vera & Vitamin E SPF 45 Lip Balm (green label, not the orange you pointed out). It's a chemical sunscreen, not drying and no cast. Has a teeny, tiny taste if you apply a ton on bare lips but I apply under/over lip products which prevents it.

Revlon & Neutrogena have some really comfortable tinted balms...the SPF is not high, only 20, but they are pretty!

I am using Aquaphor lip protectant + sunscreen spf 30 . It is in a tube like the Vannie cream one was . Repairs and protects . Love it ! 💗

Olive oil does dry out my skin, but I might try the colorscience one if I decide to pay that much. I've tried the Cotz, but it looks ghastly on me. Looks lavender and much too light a lavender for my medium brown skin. The lip balm sunscreen I use the most is O'Keefe's Lip Repair SPF 35. It's not expensive and it moisturizes my lips like a regular lip balm. It is a chemical sunscreen, with dimethicone, shea butter, petrolatum and beeswax, which are all ingredients that work well enough for me. It still isn't as moisturizing as a regular lip balm though. But it is water resistant for 60 minutes.

I thought I wouldn't find a replacement for Vanicream's discontinued lip sunscreen (still sad about it) but I'm glad I gave the Sun Bum mineral lip balm a try. It leaves minimal white cast on me but feels moisturizing; I really like it.

I have been watching your videos for quite a while now and I am so happy to see you being more confident. Not that you weren’t confident before but you seem more like yourself these days. You have taught me so much and you are my skincare guru. Mind you I am only 15 yet I feel like a proud mother. Thanks for being so open and transparent with us, it really means a lot.

I wear lip balms spf 50+ since I was 17 years old because I have a sunburn in my lips, it was horrible... I'm 40 now and I still wear it everyday 😊

I’ve been liking the Blistex SPF 30 lip balm. It does have a slightly sweet taste, that doesn’t bother me, and prefer a little flavor to mask any chemical taste. I won’t be ordering anything online that will melt in transit for a while, since I live in NV. All stocked up for the summer. ☺️

I put on mineral zinc stick sun zapper that cricketers use, on my lips then balm over the top. Worked outside in 55°c sun and never burnt my lip or face! I used that and also sun bum baby mineral stick and also Aveeno baby mineral sunscreen but that zinc stick saved me from fierce desert sun. Handy when stuck outside for hours and you can just swipe it on!

I wasn’t crazy about the Cotz flavor and tint on my lips but I’ve been using it under and around the side of my eyes (dry skin) and it’s working very nicely there.

Protecting our lips is important because there're more delicate and require extra Care. Wearing Spf 30 and higher is essential and of course now that summer is on its way i think it is mandatory in order for us to enjoy safely our vacations 😊❤🌞.

Paula's choice lipscreen, elta MD, salt and stone, curology are pretty good too. A couple done work for me bc they have beeswax

Spent all last week trying to find a flavor and fragrance free spf lip balm. I bought Dermatone spf 30 mineral lip balm off of Amazon. It's working and not drying my lips out. I've had been using Chapstick medicated spf lip balm forever but have to remove fragrance and flavor from my routine because my skin doesn't do well with them. Chapstick works well and doesn't have that unpleasant flavor that you get in your mouth from other balms like Banana Boat. Blech.

Enjoying the Coppertone Sport SPF 50 lip balm which is waterproof. Also, the Banana Boat face sunscreen that you shown in the past. My eyes thank you.

Love the MD SolarScience, it’s my 2nd year using them. Great colors! The Colorscience is another go to, and they also have pretty shades. A little pricey but I always have one in my purse and on my makeup stand. Great video!

Jack black shéa butter lip balm is the only one I like

MDSolarSciences now has a clear SPF30 lip balm called Crystal. Shimmer used to be considered their clear shade but now is positioned as creating a shade from the body pH.

I’ve tried a lot lip balms with SPF, but find most have a strange taste to them, and can be highly flavored or scented.

I am going to buy the MD Solar Science as I like tinted balms and only really use up one tube per season so it is worth the price - thanks for the suggestions

I hated the Aquaphor one. I tried to make it work and used it for a while but now I’m quitting and looking for a different spf stick. Personally, I was fine with the relative stiffness of the formula (you can just apply a little harder, no big deal) but I really disliked the constant chemical taste.

Paula's Choice Lipscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50.

O’Keefe’s has a lip SPF 35 for around $4 in stores (Meijer often has it) and it’s my favorite.I put it on first, every day, even if I’m going in w a color SPF on my lips after. The O’Keefe’s has no flavor, no sunscreen taste, spreads well, and is really moisturizing. And even though I can be sensitive (allergic- rash, hives, etc) to some chemical sunscreens, I don’t have any reaction to it. I keep one in my bag too so I reapply throughout the day, and I like it so much that I actually will use it to reapply like I should. The Sun Bum chemical lip SPF’s with color are a decent option if you want color, but I tend to layer the O’Keefes under it because I like it so much. I bought the Up & Up last year but I taste the sunscreen in it. I tried the Coola color sticks but felt they dried out my lips. I didn’t like the amount of lip color if I used Colorescience color sticks on my lips to get a good SPF coverage (I prefer a lighter lip tint) but it’s my absolute favorite for blush SPF so I don’t look flat since I usually wear tinted hybrid sunscreen.

I know I'm a little late on this one, but I love Dermatone, SPF 30 Lip Balm. It goes on very smooth and the teeny, tiny white cast goes away in about three minutes! Plus, there is no fragrance or sunscreen taste to this at all. The biggest plus is that it's on Amazon; $10 for three! Can't beat it! 🙂

You should try the dermatone spf lip balm, it does have flavor but not too overpowering

I like the Blistex Five Star Lip Protection Lip Balm SPF 30. It is moisturizing and doesn’t have that bad sunscreen taste like the Aquaphor lip balm. The negative thing is that It is cheaply made. When I reach the end of the lip balm, the remaining balm has to be scooped out. It is inside the plastic tube and if you try to apply it, it will scrape your lips.

My favorite has been Paula’s Choice. The texture and packaging is very plain and simple which I like, and it’s spf 50. It is expensive, but its the only lip spf I’ve used that isn’t super greasy and doesn’t smell plastic.

The Sun bum is a good spf lip balm, but I think the one I have is organic. I like it for the hydration factor and it’s not very expensive. I think they have a tinted one that sounds interesting.

Right now I am using the Badger clear zinc SPF lip balm I found at Natural Grocers. It does have a 15 SPF, and stays in place. I'm still on the hunt for a better one. I also tried out the EOS sunscreen lip balm. HATED it. Too much coconut for my liking!

The lip balm is in stock near me in north Texas but at a higher price than what you mentioned.

O Keefes. 35spf. I like it. Couple bucks. Stays on pretty good. Sun Bum tinted, only 15spf but pretty pretty colors. I wear these when I go out instead of lipstick. Some issues with the dispenser, not liking to go back in and the lid can pinch your skin if it’s in the way like a bugger, don’t like container but that Raisin Hell? So pretty

Rohto Mentholatum has a new fragrance free SPF lip cream! It's called their melty lip, SPF 25 PA+++ which is awesome. Reminds me of my favorite lip cream from DHC (who has their own sunscreen lippie you can try but it is not the same formula as their popular non-SPF version, a little more drying) I think you'd like it!

Something that you didnt mention but it very important to me: do any of them not taste like sunscreen? Any time I use spf lip balm I get a sunscreen taste in my mouth, and I will not continue to do that to myself
