Granules from Goop: Comes from the shea butter; it's finicky. Needs to be formulated with great care or it gets granules. Company wants the prsstige of shea butter, but doesn’t take the time to formulate properly for a nice product.

My holy grail lip spf is Brush on Block in the color fig. It’s my perfect my lips but better color and has a beautiful lip oil feel and look. It’s mineral spf so no yucky taste or irritation. The coral and nude colors aren’t my favorite but LOVE the fig. I hope they never stop selling it

The Jack Black spf lip conditioners are my favorite, hands down. Yes, they’re spf 25 but they have zero spf taste or smell and they’re also just amazing lip balms.

Paula’s choice has a spf 50 lip balm. It’s in a regular chapstick container but no sunscreen smell or taste. Just simple, basic, and moisturizing. I did also buy the Cay skin one in the red color for a little extra color this summer. Can’t wait to use both!

O’Keefes is my favorite SPF chapstick. It’s so soft and I actually reach for it more frequently than my other lip balms. It has a light sweet 🍊 scent.

Cotz lip balm SPF 45, lightly tinted, is a great one too. Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide, active ingredients. Water resistant for 80 minutes.

This is so exciting abbey thank you for making it! I have one small request: I know it might not be as aesthetic, but do you think you could do your little color scales for these videos on a range from like red to green or green to red instead of skin colors? The skin colors tend to get confusing for me and I don't love that "good" or "bad" ratings are associated with skin tones. Also it would help because some of the scales go from bad to good and some go from good to bad. Would just be easier to understand overall. Thank you you're amazing!!

For those that don’t want a shine or gloss finish (great for guys!) I have been loving the O’Keefes lip repair spf 35. Available at most USA supermarkets. Stays put and has a very minimal orange vanilla scent/no flavor.

If that product is ever discontinued I genuinely might cry. I searched for TWO YEARS for a lip SPF I didn't loathe, and this was it! No gross taste, no white cast, no irritation (unheard of for me with "chemical" filters), and it's actually *hydrating* !!!

SUPER HELPFUL that you listed the inactive ingredients! I have a sensitivity to shea butter (it makes me itchy) and it saved me sooo much time having to look up the ingredient list for each product every time I watch a skincare/bodycare/makeup video. Please keep doing this💞💞

My favorite Rohto mentholatum melty cream lip balm spf 50. It’s a very creamy & moisturizing lip balm. It has longevity and it’s very affordable. Japan does it again! Abbey I would love an Asian Lip SPF.

And Burt’s bees has an spf 30 tinted lip balm. I would warm it up or swipe it before you apply because the first swipe can tug the lips. It’s quite pigmented as well and looks great

I’ve been using a revlon lip balm spf 20 that I bought at target. It makes my lips shine, it’s smooth and soft and easy to apply. It smells amazing like tropical or coconut smell. It’s very moisturizing as well. It is in my to go bag always!

The shade range is great but definitely on the pricey side considering you have to dip into the tube a couple of times to get the coverage that you need. Great showdown 😘. Thank you 💕!

Great video!! I think you’d really like the MD Solar Sciences spf lip balm. Some of their tinted ones have pretty good pigmentation but they also have a clear. It’s not super glossy but it feels conditioning to me. No SPF taste or any other flavor in my experience.

I’m always on the hunt for a good, affordable lip sunscreen that doesn’t leave a chemical aftertaste. I’m also not a fan of the chapstick style sunscreens either. No lasting power and I find they tend to leave my lips feeling dry. Thanks for giving us some more options to try out😊💗

Blistex 5 star lip protection! It does feel nice and thick on the lips, which I like but others may not. It's clear with no shine and doesn't feel like it's constantly melting.

Hi Abbey I have used the Ultrasun spf lip balm (is available in a 30 or 50 spf) for many years every summer. It doesn't taste bad, is fragrance free and is conditioning on the lips. I wear it under lipstick or on it's own (it's clear without any tint). It's in a stick format and isn't greasy/slimy. It can also be used around the eyes at the beach as it doesn't migrate. For me it's a summer staple and I haven't tried anything else I like better. I have very reactive skin and it doesn't bother my skin at all (it's a hybrid spf). I understand it's probably not easily available in the US, but as with most European spf's contains modern filters and has less potential for irritation (it's a Swiss brand and I live in the UK). Even with my rosacea and eczema prone skin I tolerate Ultrasun on my skin as my daily spf and the lip balm is no exception. I'm sure there are probably a ton of spf lip products from Korea etc that are probably also really good, but I trust this brand and have no need to stray to other things. I would say I still feel it for a couple of hours, but advise reapplying after eating etc. best wishes.

Jack Blacks SPF 25 lip balm is my favorite. Great scents, beautiful, silky texture and has helped me not have to feverishly reapply as soon as it’s worn off.

My favorite is the colorscience sunforgettable total protection color balm. I have it in 4 colors and they all look good on me, I've gifted it as well and they match many skin tones. It's also chemical-free sunscreen, you should give it a try! I haven't tried the colorscience lip oil that you reviewed, the champagne color looks amazing, I'll have to try it

I’ve totally been on the hunt for an spf for lips, and some have literally burned my lips worse than if I hadn’t worn any. Just for anyone who isn’t aware, oxybenzone (like the one in the aquaphor lip spf) can cause allergic reactions and really swell those lips up! I personally only like physical filters for lip products bc I feel like anything with chemical like avobenzone I can always taste it so bad!!! I love the colorescience and also Jane iredale makes yummy lip balm spf!

The Carmex stick lip balms are amazing!! 0 aftertaste, smells great, spf 15, and provides a pretty sheen on the lips. It comes with a variety of flavors, strawberry is my fave!!

Just watching now and browsed the list. Supergoop has a new lip gloss out call Lip Screen Shine and it is SPF 40. It feels super nice on the lips. There may be a very very faint scent but I have to get right up to the wand to barely smell it. I don’t really taste anything from it either. It has nice slip, fantastic shine and I just love it so far. Feels very moisturizing as well. I would recommend.

Highly recommend trying the Hello Sunday The One For Your Lips - lip balm: SPF 50. It’s UK based so it’s kinda hard to get in the US. I get mine from Cult Beauty. I love the newer sunscreen filters and has been my go to for over a year.

My top three favorites are Blistex 5 Star Lip Protection SPF 30, great for everyday, Paula’s Choice Lip Balm SPF 50 perfect for summer, and La Roche Posay Anthelios Lip Stick SPF 50, a bit lighter weight so it’s nice when you done need a conditioning lip balm. None of them taste like sunscreen at all.

Oh awesome!! I just bought the Colorescience Sunforgettable Lip Shine😃 Also ordered the Brush On Block Protective Lip Oil. I hope the taste and feel is good, because all the others I’ve tried so far are drying and/or horrible in taste😩 (Colorescience Total Protection Color Balm tastes okay, but it’s a strong color. Like a long lasting lipstick. I do like it though, but it doesn’t feel hydrating.)

When she says “it lasts” I think it’s just setting down like typical sunscreen. I think of lip sunscreen just like I think of the sunscreen I put on my face…I want it to protect my skin but I don’t really want to see or feel it. If I want shine or color, I’ll put actual makeup on top of it.

Thanks for the video! I really don't like that sunscreen taste so this is very helpful. If you do this type of video again consider putting a price scale up. Price is as much of a factor as some of the other qualities and it it would be helpful to see that after hearing the full review.

This video is so on time, i was just looking at lip spf yesterday , and several of this were added to my list or purchased yesterday. Some of the spf like product i like are the Jack Black -Intense Therapy Spf 25 (I bought the Shea butter version yesterday and i love it), Hello Sunday - the one that for the lips spf 50+ (my al time favorite lip), Sun sense spf 50+ (2nd Favorite), Sun Bum - Signature spf 30 best mineral I've found, O'Keefe -Lip Repair spf 35, and good old faithful Chapstick spf 15. I'm still trying more but these are the best imo because they are very very moisturizing and have little to-no sunscreen taste. P.S. the Coola doesn't click, you twist it back on.

O’keefes lip repair spf 35 is a really nice chapstick type product. I’m very sensitive to the sunscreen taste, and I don’t taste it in this one. Also very moisturizing.

Sun Bum Signature Lip spf 30 is a favorite for me!!! It’s a zinc based spf so no aftertaste (slight white cast) and some that I’ve bought have that granular surface you have to break through but it feels super nourishing on the lips which is great considering it’s zinc!!

Highly under-rated spf lip balm and one that checks all the boxes except it doesn't have high shine like a lip oil would, is O'keefe's lip balm spf unscented. You can't tell there's any spf in it and it has ridiculously good ingredients at an unrealistically inexpensive pricepoint. If you guys want to check all the boxes, but want something with shine, just apply right over this lip balm, I've worn everything under the sun (pun intended) over this spf lip balm with no issues, it's actually great for lip prep and not just for spf purposes. Hope this helps someone! It's a holy grail for me.

Blistex Ultra SPF50+ is my HG lip sunscreen. It uses the newer more stable UV filters and it is very conditioning to the lips. It's available in the EU and AU.

@@sammyg4159 I like the melty cream lip (I want to try the premium version!), water lip tone up CC in red is such a lovely color, the regular water lip isn’t my favorite for some reason feel like it dries my lips out

hello!! i know this particular video obviously isn’t hair care related, but i figured it’d be best to comment under your most recent video. i was wondering if you could review more drugstore hair care products, most importantly hask? i’ve heard a lot of good things about them when it comes to drugstore hair care and i trust your opinions most so i was wondering if you could talk about that brand? i’ve been recently getting into hair care more and trying to restore my hair and get it to grow so i really appreciate your videos they’re very helpful💖

Perfect timing! I needed this right at this time. I just had pre-cancer removed from my lip Now I'm on a hunt for some good lip SPF. Currently only use a couple and love. The Sun Bum Mineral SPF 30 ($3.99) and the EltaMD UV lip balm. Have you tried the Paula's Choice SPF lip screen? Thanks for the review

periodt glad to see someone call out these lip spfs, most of them suck. I've been using the Coppertone lip spf 50 and it's been great for when I need something water resistant and high spf

I hope I'm not the only one who is super sad that Vanicream discontinued their lip SPF. It made my lips so soft. I honestly find Sun Bum's mineral lip spf much more conditioning than the flavored balms, plus I find the smell of the flavors over powering.

Sun bum was terrible for me. Too sweet! Try aquaphor’s lip sun screen. It’s so hydrating

@@xerk2945 unfortunately it is. It's been out of stock for a while due to supply chain issues, but I guess those issues aren't expected to resolve. I hope they revive it.

I’ve always loved the Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm SPF 25. It feels like Vaseline, smells nice and it’s $10 at Ulta

I love the Colorescience lip shines too, but hate that they are so expensive. I’ve been on a mineral lip SPF quest. I like the sun bum mineral chapstick but it does leave a white cast. The Vanicream tube one is about the same. Cotes has one tinted beige but it is very drying and the color is weird for me. I just got some new Coola mineral lip spf that comes in a few colors, the colors are as opaque as a lipstick, not sheer. They are not shiny but I haven’t decided if it is too drying yet. I saw that Burt’s Bees has come out with some tinted mineral lip SPF but haven’t tried them yet.

Try the Vichy lip sunscreen it’s $14 Canadian and my absolute favorite. No aftertaste and lasts the longest out of all I’ve tried in the past
