so you know. The gobins specifically started eating Hedrons (the magical floating rocks infused with many unknown spells) to protect themselves against the Eldrazi. Not just normal rocks. They are magical cuthulu bait rocks. also Tarkir goblins genders have different colored fur. White=male, Red=female.

I refuse to believe that such a spicy channel just popped up mere weeks ago. Were you a victim of Sarkhan's meddling of time? Or did Memnarch kidnap you, but you managed to escape? Perhaps you were one of the goblins that Slobad sent home? Or maybe you were a slave in another MTG KZfaqr's editing dungeons, but you finally revolted and went off to start your own channel. So many questions. Oh and great video btw.

I was complaining about the lack of depth on Fiora Goblins, then I realized that you could do a thirty minute episode on just that and still not cover it. And I could say the same for nearly every other plane that all have a depth of history for this tribe, some a lot more depth than others. Now I'm amazed you were able to cover as much as you did in such a short amount of time. Thank you for the content!

wow I had never really paid attention at how varied the goblins in magic are. Really makes appreciate how diverse mtg art is. Thank you for the weeks of godless research that led to this awesome video! Also as a side note, I think the new goblin appearance in battle for Zendikar can easily excuse the inconsistency for being so visually interesting. I love when wotc tries to shift away from the generic green goblin and makes something more unique to the plane like the yeti-like goblins of Tarkir, or the rat-like goblins of Jund or whatever you would call the goblins of Mirrodin/New Phyrexia. In fact, I wish they did it with as a rule of thumb, not as an exception. I was a very big fan of the horns they gave to the elves of Lorwyn and hope that the generic fantasy art-style can become a thing of the past in the future sets to come.

I'm glad you spent the time and took the toll on your sanity that this video required. I'm also glad to see the opinions of "Changing the art design of Zendikar and Mirrodin's goblins for the sequels was an odd decision" and "Even if the greater multiverse is improved by having Ugin present in it, Sarkhan ruined Tarkir with his meddling", since these are opinions that I also hold.

Wow, I'm so glad it's gotten your approval, especially with your decade and a half of experience. I certainly want to delve into Lorwyn, and the Elves are SUCH a big faccet of that plane's philosophy. I think I'd also touch on the major themes of duality ala how the metropolitan racists become oppressed naturalists and how the explosive and fast-paced elementals become crumbling burnouts.

Ruben Mon Sam and The Magic Show were channels I used to watch a whole bunch (Sam I still very much do, and I really love his delivery and tone) but my style is a lot more tied to things like what Brian David Gilbert has been doing with Polygon like the Unravelled series. I've been playing Magic for years and enjoy the lore but have never been to into it; I can honestly say that this video has made me appreciate the lore (and not just the flavor) more than all other Magic media combined. The Magic story is really only exceptional when you tie it back to how the story is told through an amazing card game, and you strike exactly the right balance of unpacking the story itself and explaining how the story is told through the cards/mechanics. Your tone is also perfect; acknowledging the ridiculousness of the story (this isn't Game of Thrones-level intricate high fantasy) while still showing your deep appreciation for it. Once you develop a bit more of a following, try setting up a Patreon to facilitate a steady video output; I would be a day-one Patron. Seriously, keep it up.

Thank you so much, this has always been something that was bugging me a lot, and you answer so many of my questions on goblins... this was wonderful ! almost a piece of art.

Omg this whole video is AWESOME. So much info packed into so little space while also staying spicy. I have a feeling you opened up a can or worms with doing this and you'll have requests to do other videos in this vain. It's be awesome if you did goblins rivals, the elves. That is if you're willing to go nuts

I have a feeling this may be a series hahaha. Elves, Vampires and Zombies have been my top three requested tribes and I'm sure I'll get to each of them at some point.

Just discovered your channel and watched every video. I'm new to MTG started late December and what little lore i could find from looking at the cards in guilds and Allegiance of Ravnica was pretty neat. I'm glad i found your channel where you tell lore in a fun way. Keep up the good work cant wait to see more.

I love how informative your videos are, and they're really fun to watch/listen to. One thing though: the "o" in "minotaur" isn't a short "i" sound, it's an unaccented syllable, so it makes the schwa sound, or "uh"

This is good content. Great writing, jokes, visuals, it's all great. I think a jump in audio quality is the only piece missing from really pushing your stuff over the edge. Good stuff

Aye, audio is something I've been struggling with but I'm getting help with that from some of my creator pals! Hopefully my next video will be a step up, and then the one after that :) Thanks for the feedback!

5:07 So what you're saying is that Goblins are a metaphor for the evils of capitalism and that we must destroy them. I think I read that in The Communist Manifesto.
