Victoria stands out in the whole video to me. It's her presence, her style, her personality and her element. I'm amazed by it. The other girls look gorgeously perfect as well. I loved the concept of 4 elements and the harmony among them.

Their later work didn’t get the recognition it deserved. They hired American producers for their third album and the sound was perfect for that market, but the girls lost interest and didn’t promote the album like they should have.

Their management prevented them from being successful pursuing a different concept, because they made their name The Spice Girls and gave the members stage names reflecting their assigned personalities and styles. This song is catchy but not iconic in the same way some of their other singles were. This is them trying to be Destiny's Child. Their switch to this from their Spice Girls concept is an admission by their management that they didn't think the old concept would continue to sell well. What I'm saying is that at this point, The Spice Girls were past their prime, and even their management knew that so they tried to switch it up.

I agree bearded. They put this in CD Stores and not one song was promoted(this is before social media lol). I do remember that they heavily promoted Melanie C's I turn to You on a bunch of music channels instead9Enjoyed that too!). I felt 2001 was their strongest year. I'm glad that they still are in the limelight with different projects.

So freaking adorable I just love them so much and this song, even with one missing, I love the video concept of them as like the four elements because it shows that even though a five piece girl group went down to four they all had something special to hold their own.

Agreed!!!! I loved them as a quartet. From all the interviews & stuff, it seemed Victoria was the one who was really in charge of this era behind the scenes. But with just one link in the chain (Mel C) off in solo land (& overwhelmed, I imagine), & Emma & Melanie B seeming more "whatever happens, happens" in this era, you can tell Victoria was making a lot of calls.

Consistently great music by hot women, and a side of kinkiness. I was 13 when their first video came out, and I had crushes on Posh, Baby, Ginger through middle school (crossing social taboos as I listened to Top 40 and a few bubble gum acts). I had NO idea how kinky this song got until I saw pics from their reunion tour. Lately, I've been listening to Greatest Hits on my iPod. Viva Forever's my favorite, but that's partly because I like flamenco music.

I grew up being a huge fan of the spice girls and I am still to this day. Most of us would remember the lyrics even without listening for a long time. There will never be another pop band like them ever again. I am so happy I was part of their era!

Remembering them, I remember of the late TV host Augusto (Gugu) Liberato. I'm 22, they was part of my childhood. They often was on his shows almost every sunday at evening!

(In 2017, in one of Gugu's shows, this time on a new week day, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday nights, Fantine, who came from the Netherlands and Aline recovered with him to watching Patrícia's 4 year old daughter, named Antonella, to born! My favorite parts are: All Mel C solos (pre-chorus, middle 8, ad-libs...she owns the song and her voice sends chills down my spine), Mel B's verse and Mel C and Emma's harmonizing together in the chorus. Particularly the line "you will give in to meee" always gives me goose bumps, Mel C and Emma harmonies are unique, I've never heard a similar sound in other girl groups.

It's so nice to read this kind of comment... I have always appreciated the minimal details in songs... Little duets, trios, harmonizing in general ad-libs, runs, instrumentals, drums, bass and things that make a song even richer. It is nice to see that there are more people like me! :D

I also love the attention to detail xxxTIN0xxx has put here! Ever notice how with the spice girls, you could tell who it was that was singing! They all have such unique voices among girl groups who sound the same most of the time! Listen to I Know Him So Well - Mel C & Emma duet! Amazing voices! My take on this - Mel B's sexy, sultry voice, amazing looks and she's by far the best dancer, Mel C's crisp, clear voice with is the strongest of the group, Emma's lovely, innocent and sweet voice which sends you to a peaceful place and Victoria's beautiful pitch and her best vocals with the Spice Girls which does sound a bit like J-Lo's! And this look (am glad she went back to the long, black hair) suits Vic better!

TheMichaelCW Yes I have noticed this even more that, the Spice Girls all have a different voice- pitch and yes, unlike most famous female bands/artists all sound the same and definitely cannot tell of which Girl is singing, just tge Spice Girls have their own natural harmonies, and they take their career seriously, and they don't use auttotune, which what I love best about all of them! 🅰👌 and the best in ever!!!

Vocal work on this track is so dope and beautiful, it really drives me insane, all Mel C's lines in there sounds like refreshing glowing air, and filtered "you can play my game" lifts you up, other singers' vocals is cool too, but they are more dope than beautiful.

Craig Callaghan Forever was a great album but it was just too repetitive. Skip through each song of the album and realise all but 2 or 3 sound the same. Spice and Spiceworld were their masterpieces! My personal favourite is Spice though ❤️
