I just tried the Spicy Cheese ramen today, and you are so right! Underneath the heat there is so much flavour, and the noodles are perfect. I found that by using a fork instead of chopsticks I was able to avoid the noodles touching my lips, where most of the pain was for me.

5 packs for $6. Eggs are about $2 per dozen. Celery is $2 per pound. I add two eggs and 2 stocks of chopped celery into my ramen after draining the water to the recommended 8 table spoons and continue to cook it for 2 more minutes mixing the egg in. Total cost is roughly $2 for a full meal.

Actually the yellow packaging is the halal version for Muslim consumers and the black one is the non-halal version . I thought that I just wanna throw it out there 😊

I see some slotted spoon love out there. For those of you that are interested, it came in a silverware set called Toule (from Crate & Barrel) I received as a gift years and years ago. I believe it's now been discontinued, but maybe you can find it on ebay. Good luck!

It does said to add like 8 spoons of water but in my opinion its kind of watered down the spicy levels that kind of challenging for some people. I always ate them with the water fully drained so the flavor would stick to the noodles better? If that explanation makes sense😂 it is a good kinda spicy flavor tho😄

feroocha dam Yep... my family always drained the noodles for ramen. Since I've started making mine with different ingredients added in, I've found leaving a bit of water in (maybe a tablespoon?) works well with things like a slice of cheese. Most of the time, though, I like my noodles drained!

it also says you're supposed to stir fry the sauce into the noodles before eating.

Everyone is different, some people prefer dry and some prefer soup. It's all based on taste, for example, i love my noodles dry but my brother loves the noodles with broth. I think you can technically have them either way.

Marie Riedmueller Yep. You can even eat the noodles dry without boiling them, you can fry them, you can use them as the base of a whole new recipe... it's food, and food truly is a choose-your-own-adventure!

Ok. I found these cheesy beauties at my local Asian market and bought some. Fell in love with him and cooked them yakisoba style (with added Korean rice cakes) so I didn’t have too much water at the end. Topped with shredded cheese and chopped green onion and covered to let melt. At this point I’ve eaten quite a few of these packages the same way and am ONLY NOW SEEING that this was part of the fire noodle challenge from last year?? I mean they were definitely hot but it wasn’t spicy enough to be deemed “challenge worthy” to me? Maybe the addition of real cheese cooled them down but these were totally the most delicious instant noodles I’ve ever had.

Sooooo when you say "significantly" less spicy... What you mean is on a scale of "1 to dead", with the cheese noodles, you only die one time instead of twice? That's what you meant. cause I done let you and the sweet person in the video trick me into buying maximum spicy non flavored, food colored noodles.. And then I actually messed up two eggs with it. I couldn't finish it. My insides are burning literally. I have to give them away to another crazy person that enjoys this type of flavorless torture now and I'm sure they will love it! 😶🙃 You guys are great

Emmy! My daughter and I eat these all the time! Although I can't read the writing on the bag so I always fill my bowl with water and leave it after it cooks in it, and I also add mozzarella cheese to it while it's piping hot! It's my favorite ♡

I think she shouldn't have left in so much water in the first place. Those noodles are supposed to be enjoyed dry ... you get the full kick of the spiciness that way. Adding water is kind of cheating ...

It says to stir fry it after leaving 8 tablespoons of water. Hence the picture showing a pancake of noodles in a pan.

My son sent me a case of Ramen when he was stationed in Korea..They were formed in a round brick. He recommended putting cheese in them..Very spicy but very good eating!

When I tried it for the first time, I was panicking cuz it was so spicy, but I ate it whenever I could cuz it tastes so good. Now that I've eaten a lot of these ramen, the spice literally does nothing to me. I can't imagine how people take on the ghost pepper challenge. 😂😂

Swoozi it is pretty different I think! jalmeokgesseubnida is basically the korean equivalent of itadakimasu, everyone says it right before digging in (mukja wouldn't be used in that situation, it's more like prompting to start eating and THEN ppl say jalmeokgesseubnida)

Emmy, didn't the instructions say to leave 8 tablespoons of water, put in the sauce, then stir it over low heat for another 30 seconds or so? The package says it is stir-fried noodles, so stirring it over low heat until most of the remaining water is gone should help bring out the flavor and spicy taste even more.

I got inspired to try this specific one, got some and just had a few bites. Well, turns out I couldn't make it past the third bite. My _entire_ mouth, tongue and lips are burning and it's almost been 10 minutes. I've never felt a burn like this. But it's quite an intriguing feeling! 🤭The noodles are amazing and I have nothing against the company, Emmy or anyone who loves these. I just can't with the sauce! For others, however, this should be lovely if you love a huge kick of spice. I'm sure my taste buds are just too sensitive for this and my statements have nothing to do with Samyang at ALL in any negative fashion. So hopefully my little mumbling review won't turn others away. I'm sure if I deluded it with other sauces that aren't spicy, it would taste very good. ❤

kingofalldoughboys When I'm visiting my mom in Gardena, I go to Daiso and to Muraki market and Pacific Square, a lot of Asian influence in Gardena but also other good local places to eat 😊

The black packet is Non-Halal while the Yellow packet is Halal version of the Cheese Ramen (for Muslim/Kosher). Hope that's help. :)
