The actual problem is that we need to start tell each other those things. If you are not able to tell such things to the person you're having sx with; you shouldn't be having sex with them. It can lead to dangerous dynamics where one person deals with pain and wont even say stop. I can only speak for women (and girls/young women already having sex) and concerning that, it's WAY too common for a woman to deal with the pain in silence because she feels like she needs to be good enough. The whole performance while having sex is detrimental for everybody. We just think the other party wants it that way because we don't talk about it.
