I liked the Tiger 1200 XCA because they're big and comfortable great for long rides and you can still can do light trail riding and I LOVE the heated grips and seats on it as well!

Awesome to see a review between your legs... looking forward to the comparison with the 900. The new Triumph fuel gauge is great once it updates, but does take a while to recognise it has been refilled! :-)

I took one out on a demo day I didn't get a full blast with it I am small 30 inch inside leg. You can lower the seat which does help. My impressions were Long trips doing Motorways or A roads the bike handles great and the quick shifter is a must on it you will be up and down the gears a lot on it , as i high geared. On small B roads though it is a pig to get turned into corners it is top heavy and that is without luggage on it , For me I love all the we back roads and the twisties , Was so hoping this bike was for me as I am to small for a GS but sadly no

Standard Triumph fuel gauge. Mine doesn't register the volume of squashed dinosaur juice I've put in the tank for minute or two, although it does put out the low fuel warning light immediately. I have a 2018 Speedmaster, different bike, same electrickery.

So given the choice, what would you go for, the 1200 Alpine, or a 900 Rally Pro? I'm in the market for an adventure bike as a second bike in the garage, was heavily leaning towards the 900, but these 1200's keep drawing me back. Very nice vid by the way.

Destination Triumph, Solent flavour. They didn't leave me with any fuel in the Tiger 900 I tested either. I managed to get to the fuel station and chucked a tenner in there. As I rode away I thought the garage had mugged me off, and I had filled the tank with fresh air as the fuel gauge was still on empty. It took a couple of minutes for the bike to understand that I had given it a well-deserved drink. I've since learned that a lot of Triumph bikes do this.... weird!!

These will do 50 miles when the gauge reaches zero. Also, Triumph's take about 3 minutes for the gauge to show a change for some strange reason.

No I don't really do 50cc bikes as I honestly do not thnk they are the best option at 16. I always advise for safety, logistical and financial reasons to wait one more year and get a 125cc. If that's not possible it's fair enough but that's why I don't review them. Not to mention 6'4 of me on it would not be a fair test haha

All Triumphs take a while for the fuel gauge to register after filling up, it's a quirk of the brand. I don't know why though.
@charliebrown3938

Indeed, my ole 2000, 955 sprint did just that, 2014 tiger sport the same 🤣 quirks for sure.

@@charliebrown3938 True story, I had a half day test ride on a street triple, (never ridden a Triumph before) and was asked to replace the petrol I'd used. Filled her up and rode off, same amount of petrol as before, so I went back to the petrol station and put more fuel in thinking I'd somehow hardly put any fuel in. What a prat I felt as I rode off and the fuel gauge started to fill up. 😂
