I have had this Energica Experia on loan from English Electric Motor Co. for a week or so, to make videos and a review on. There is A LOT to cover on this bike and if I did it all in full detail in one video it would be way too long. This is the final review, if you want a much more in-depth test and info watch my series of videos on this machine. Electric touring is still not ideal but this bike makes it possible in a much better way than I have ever seen before!
Big thanks to English Electric Motor Co. for the loan of this machine! www.englishelectricmotorco.com/

It’s crazy how far these electric motorbikes have come. I genuinely love the idea of this bike.

I really am sad that I can no longer ride bikes (my electrics are restricted to my wheelchair now),but that looks an amazing bike.

As I've said in a previous comment, torque is almost always higher at the wheel (Energica do also say in the spec sheet that the higher number is at the wheel). You have a gear reduction from the motor to the wheel, for example Zero's are around 1:5 and the Experia is 1:7.8 because there's an additional gearbox as part of the motor. Gas bikes are also the same except they have multiple ratios in their gearboxes, and you'll actually find that some of the more powerful bikes have even more torque at the rear wheel in first gear than many electric bikes. It's why you can't just look at a Zero with over 100Nm of motor torque and assume it's more torquey than say a Z900 with just under 100Nm. Kawasaki actually list all their gear ratios and if I'm doing the math correct it's 1:5 in 6th gear, so that's about where the torque at the wheel is going to match up.

I have been binge watching many of your videos. I haven't been on a motorcycle since the 80's. Back then i was riding a GP100 then moved onto a GSX 250. As i am now in my mid 50's, i felt i needed some information and refresh of motorcycles before i took the plunge and bought one. Your videos are absolutely on point, so in-depth and informative. Love how you take the time to explain and advise new and experienced riders alike. You have gained another subscriber as you are now my go to creator. Keep up the great work!

That price bracket is, I assume, GS territory but the package is perhaps GS comparative. I would never spend that on a car let alone a bike but I can see people less afflicted with “tightwadishness” than myself forming an orderly queue. Nice to see the worthy English Electric brand being associated with a quality product once again. ❤

I took an Experia for a test ride a few months back and was seriously impressed. So much so that watching your review has just validated everything I discovered about it. At 6”6 I also enjoyed the comfort level, room and shear ease of how this bike performed.

The want for this bike is strong. The price is what it is, people justify more expensive Ducati's without needing to explain themselves.

Electric bikes are here to stay! I love my Zero, awesome bike!

a bike like this intended to do the many many many miles it travels, it could make sense to get an electric over a petrol financially not counting less maintenance to pay for (if you don't service things yourself)

I would love this bike's battery on my bmw ce 04. Cant wait to see what the next gen of electric bikes are capable of.

Great set of videos on this bike but I feel it needs loading up with kit and taking it on a tour. Real world test would be awesome. Knowing where all the local charges are or taking it home to charge doesn't really show what it'll be like to use on a full tour.

I purchased a 2017 Zero DSR with a level 2 charge tank. LOVED riding it, but found out the realities of using public charge stations here in the San Francisco Bay Area of California. Shared power, out-of-service chargers, etc. I am a one-at-a-time bike owner, so I've never had multiple bikes, not even during my motocross, desert, and road racing days. I anxiously awaited both the DSR/X and Energica Experia, with the thought that I would buy one of those. DC to DC charging systems here (other than Tesla Superchargers) are also spotty in terms of what I describe above for level 2. This Energica can only charge at 3kW on level 2, my Zero charged at 6.3 kW. When I compared the features of both the Experia and the DSR/X compared to the Ducati Multistrada V4S Sport there was no question. Just the Skyhook electronic suspension was enough to convince me, not to mention so many of the other useful features. And the MSV4S is comparable in price. My Duck just had her first birthday and I could not be more pleased with my choice. I'd return to EVs but only if the features I now enjoy were available on two-wheel EVs.

Really interested in one of these when they were first announced then there was over a year of waiting for one to become available to try and I stopped asking for a test. Never had any contact when it became available and stopped advertising my R1250RT which it was going to replace.
