I didn't hate the first games MJ missions like everyone else but they definitely slowed the pace down, especially got more boring during replays. But this game very much improved on it, she plays way better now and is really fun.

@@ericvazquez2225 I guess there's that throwaway line how she'd undergone some combat or selfdefence training with Sable in-between games, but yeah, as is this still comes off as nothing short of ridiculous. Then again can't pretend I'd be into Spiderman enough to feign any kind of personal offence over this one and was never planning on getting this game for myself to begin with, so where I'm standing it's just really comical how that scene of her cowering in the back of a van all tense and worried at the start of the first mission does a complete mood whiplash, when she completely ragdolls the first muscle-bound militiaman by simply kicking the car's backdoor open and then runs up to and incapacitates the other, while he's directly gunning for her, like it was nothing.

Most people despise Mj missions, myself included, and yet Insomniac decided to continue doing them. They break the flow of gameplay, especially when you’re replaying the game, and they just make Mj op asf, dis bitch can take out fucking symbiotes faster than Peter or Miles.

Respectfully, MJ’s segment where she looks for Peter & runs from the symbiote possessing his body was the only part that I think does well from a gameplay and plot standpoint. She isn’t going through hordes of monsters & experienced enemies & the pacing isn’t slow. That and maybe a few Quick Time Events for her would have been better than having three whole missions for her. She doesn’t need these to prove how strong and capable she is mentally and physically as a character as Intihar/Insomniac Games quite ridiculously implied. All that extra time could have been given to the other characters like Wraith & Black Cat and even Venom himself. Unless they’re planning to make them playable in future DLCs which I really hope they do otherwise that’s a big miss especially for a game that was inspired by Arkham. Last time I checked this was an action adventure Spider-Man game with Peter, Miles and other superhero and super villain characters. Not a survival horror and shooter. I can understand why people would criticise playing an ordinary character with a gun that can take hordes of enemies for three missions, when all that time could have been given to characters better suited for the genre with better pacing and gameplay. But then again it’s Insomniac Games, can’t really criticise them or make reasonable points without being disregarded and attacked. Which Insomniac Games basically did when they replied to the feedback about the MJ missions.

Otherwise I’m actually glad they’re back this time around because my thing was if they were gonna bring them back at give her more weapons or good takedown opportunities. And even though there were cases where I did die, due to my own incompetence, these gave me less anxiety than the first one did, well except the last mission where it was just Resident Evil/Dead Space. 😂 Still I enjoyed these as someone who has had a love/hate relationship with stealth games since the Arkham games and the first Spider-man movie game. (Those who played that one will know what I mean)

gonna sound crazy from me but insomniac gotta up their foliage system. Everybody in the sony studios already has interactive foliage systems since Uncharted 4 showed everybody how to do it in the sony studios. I know very well that i'm nitpicking but still, i'd be a nice detail to see the grass react to MJ's position, they could easily incorporate hiding in foliage for MJ sections in Spider-Man 2, as those sections now are pretty much perfect.

I like the change of pace tbh, specially calmer sessions, this is VERY welcome and shows they listened to the fans by making the missions enjoyable. People who are STILL complaining just suck. The devs listened to ya'll and u still don't shut up. Jesus.

Personally I don’t like MJ sections because I don’t like the MJ character. I don’t like any characters that are journalists because they always get themselves into a mess and they don’t have any superpowers so now I have to be extra cautious to keep them alive… It’s just mentally draining to me

I liked the MJ missions cuz I enjoy a bit of grounded gameplay in the story now and then where everything else is fantastical. Though one thing I agree with is MJ's plot armor, especially with that boss fight at the end. Like Miles and Peter even working together have difficulties taking those titans, but MJ with a handgun can low diff it. Still liked the missions when against humans tho.

I don't know why people hate the MJ solo missions. I enjoyed them! They offer a different perspective in the story. I view the missions as a way to view MJ make up for not having powers. She finds her own ways to help that are just as important as Peter or Miles roles as Spider Men. It also reinforces that it takes more than powers to be a hero.

From a story perspective: I love them. They’re a nice way to tell the story from a different perspective for a little bit and gives a nice feel of a ordinary person in a world with super heroes In crazy situations. From a gameplay perspective: while I do think these are much better than in the first game, I do understand some people’s frustrations with them.

Even if you want the ignore the pseudo transexual face, she’s still an average, maybe a 6ish. Mj should be an 8 at the very least. @robertoj.9509 I was never under the preconception that MJ had to be one of the most beautiful women in the world, never really mattered to me. What does matter to me is that MJ is a character that has a story that I give a shit about. If I just wanted to stare at beautiful women, there are many websites that fulfill this.
