If you look carefully his suit black suit evolves the more the symbiote takes over. Small details like this along with great character development are going to make this game a timeless.

During the second stage of the Kraven fight there's a little audio detail I found. Whenever the bell rings you can hear faint screams in the background, which is most likely the symbiote within Peter's mind reeling in pain from the soundwaves.

This is the kind of Venom storyline I've been waiting for for years. Real psychological terror and none of that emo dancing, buddy cop nonsense. In this, the symbiote becomes an eldritch cosmic horror and the scary implications of what it can really do are explored much more than in any other series I've ever seen. I also love so many of the smaller details they added in. Like how Peter's fighting gets noticeably more violent and aggressive while he has the suit and how when the suit's piloting his body while he's asleep and making him go on a rampage you can't hear his voice at all during this portion. It's just the symbiote. All I can say is, this game looks like a complete masterpiece and I can't wait to see what they do in the inevitable third game or even DLC for this game. P.S. This was written by humans. Not AI. Think about that.

I like the Black Suit half, not so much the Venom half. Personally I like Venom when he's less "Let's take over the world with black goo" and more "We're gonna k-word Spider-Man! Spider-man ruined our life!" as I think it makes him a lot more intimidating than just Alex Mercer from Prototype 2. It's kinda like the Terminator to an extent. Knowing that there's someone out there who can outclass you in almost every way, has extensive knowledge of you and your life, and is dedicating their life to hunting you down in order to break you in every conceivable way AND you don't know where this person is or where they'll strike next is a terrifying thought. Hoping that the DLC is good too, and that Eddie at some point gets to don the evil gak.

Frankly, I think Insomniac understands the character of Spider-Man, and the world he inhabits, better than ANY of the filmmakers! And because they tell their stories through the gaming medium, it allows them more time to breathe and develop, making them peak Spider-Man storytelling in my opinion!

I genuinely believe that the best Symbiote suit stories come from video games. In a TV series or movie, you can almost never get a proper idea of why Peter would want to keep the black suit other than "I can change clothes faster." or something. in a video game, you play as Peter, and can properly feel the power of the black suit. It kinda gives off One Ring vibes in that sense.

"Symbiont suit" looks better than version 1 of the black suit. When I saw the trailer, I personally didn’t like the design, some kind of armor....the helmet on the face was annoying. But in rage mode and when he fought while asleep, and against Miles, the suit looked symbiotic and as it should. Luckily they made it like the costume

the reason the black suit did look armor-like was because Harry had it as an Agent Venom armor before the symbiote moved to Pete Then later when it becomes the symbiote suit it starts to look like an actual spidey suit but is all veiny and is really starting to get corrupted now by Pete's anger building up and bubbling out And then finally when Pete gets the Anti-Venom suit it just full on looks like an actual spidey suit through and through since it is fully his now (except for the symbiote texturing but it's not as noticable as the black and symbiote suit)

The electricity doesn't seem to be a weakness to the Symbiote. If the bell wasn't there it wouldn't have ended with Peter taking off the Symbiote. Hed most likely turn into Venom and demolish Miles.

Great game, the only complaint i have is that I wish they focused more on the self-intervention of pete. Discovering that he isnt the person he always strived to he and that being the reason why he rips off the suit. I almost feel like if miles wasn't there to stop Pete, that never would of happened which bums me out. Nevertheless a fanatsic game and a must play

Miles in this game is very much who Peter has helped him become. I think him being a part of it is poetic. Obviously Miles is his own person, but Miles being a reflection of the person (in particular the Spiderman) Peter is in so many ways would help him see he was not the person he knows he is or wants to be in a way as well. Li literally said Miles reminds him of Peter which was obviously a compliment and high praise. It’s definitely not as good, but I don’t think it’s out of line with the narrative.

Not only was it most likely coated with something, but spidey can die from stab wounds to vital areas. Even if it wasn't coated, I don't doubt that kraven stabbed him in a vital area. He knew what he was doing as when he did stab Pete he broke the blade off to make sure it stayed in. Also, ever read the ultimate comics?

The black suit was honestly wasted. This game definitely could have benefited from a longer story. There was so many possibilities and storylines they could have integrated with the black suit. Like a rematch with Shocker, where Insomniac could have paid tribute to the meme. Instead they kill off classic villains off screen.
