About Spider-Man Movie:
After incorporating elements of comic book style and design into many of his films, director Sam Raimi helms this straight-ahead, big-budget comic book adaptation, which also marks acclaimed young actor Tobey Maguire's first dip into live-action blockbuster filmmaking. Spider-Man follows the template of the original Stan Lee/Steve Ditko source material, with hero Peter Parker an orphaned, intellectual teen loner living in Queens with his aunt (Rosemary Harris) and uncle (Cliff Robertson), and dreaming of the girl next door, Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst). On a field trip to a Columbia University lab, Peter is bitten by a genetically altered spider and overnight he gains superhuman strength, agility, and perception. At first, Peter uses his powers for material gain, winning a wrestling match with a purportedly lucrative prize. But when Peter apathetically fails to stop a burglar from robbing the wrestling arena, a tragedy follows that compels him to devote his powers to fighting crime -- as the superhero Spider-Man. When he's not busy fighting crime in a spider suit, Peter moves into an apartment with his best friend, Harry (James Franco), and begins work as a photographer at the Daily Bugle. Meanwhile, his do-gooder alter ego finds a nemesis in the form of the Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), a super-powered, megalomaniacal villain who happens to be the alter ego of Harry's father, weapons-manufacturing mogul Norman Osborn. Spider-Man was written by the prolific blockbuster scribe David Koepp (Jurassic Park, Panic Room).

Yes I do I didn't watch any of the raimi trilogy in theaters for not even being born when 2 came out and being 3 when 3 came out but my mom bought me spider man 2 to watch at home and ever since I've been a spidey fan it's been a long journey from my first time watching spider-man 2 to sitting in the theatre and watching no way home

I still prefer the built not born storyline . I gives more depth to characters who aren't gifted with powers but are smart enough to create their own solutions. Kinda why I liked Andrew and Tom's Spider-Man better than this one.

I really like the concept of Spiderman having an organic web, it makes him more unique. It also makes sense since his powers came from a spider.

I personally like the web shooter concepts, cause it allows him to run out and also have more unique combinations. With that said, I do think at some point they should give the mcu Spiderman organic webbing to grow his abilities as a hero and so he has a backup if his webshooters run out.

Organic webbing is the best, relying on a synthetic web shooter when that’s your main ability really isn’t a good thing. people always say that Spider-Man making his own webbing is supposed to show how smart he is but there are plenty of other ways to do that

it’s actually pretty obvious. Peters best friend, his “bully” (if you can even call flash a bully in Tom hollands movies) and his gf are all race swapped. Not to mention they refuse to make MJ even seem like able or relatable because they have to make her bored and monotone the entire time so she can’t be seen as a victim. Admittedly, putting mj as the victim in all three movies of the original trilogy is lame. TASM did peters gf the best because she isn’t a helpless victim but actually acts like a real and likeable girl who has chemistry with peter

I remember when I was a kid, I'd collect Spiders in my village and force them to bite me so that I became like my childhood hero, Tobey. Thank God the spiders were not lethal 😆. How is that foreshadowing? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure he already knew he had the ability to shoot webs from his wrists prior to this scene. He was doing it earlier in the film. One of the most popular scenes in the film (his fight with Flash) literally started because he accidentally flung a tray of food at him with his webs. This scene was just the first time he actually tried using them to swing, nothing was being foreshadowed here.

I love the camera work between 0:41 and 0:57. It just looks so alive and inspired for what is otherwise just Tobey Maguire crawling on a flat wall.

Something I feel like gets underrated bout this movie is its soundtrack. Specifically right here when hes climbing the wall. U get this feeling of suspense and jus utter surprise and almost like a shot of adrenaline with each step he takes climbing up and up that I feel serves the scene really well

0:11 Peter looking up at the web as the spider is crawling hits different… like he fully realizes what he can do now with his powers. And I like how the tone of the music changed too as it builds on to peters confidence. Tobey will always be the best Spider-Man and Peter Parker ever I don’t care what anyone says. This movie was my childhood❤️ Sam raimi is truly a genius The new Spider-Man movies can’t build this tone at all like how Sam did with his movies

I mean, come on, Peter's a dorky teenager. That statement, in my opinion, even works for the Spider-Man 3 scene. You know the one. He pretty much just had his inhibitions removed, but his core personality probably wasn't changed. Even the most reasonable people have wanted to do very odd or extreme things before.

This scene is so epic in every way. And Tobey McGuire’s reaction to when he realizes he can climb up walls with his bare hands and shoot web fluid from the veins in his wrists is just priceless. And seriously, how could someone not whoop like a banshee when something like this happens? You’ve just found out that you have an almost god like ability to swing through the air with ease and beat on criminals with acrobatic agility that would make most gymnastics athletes jealous, and you want to try and contain your excitement? Ha! Good luck with that. This film really was ahead of its time, and just the fact that it released around the same time as X-Men made it all the better, because it showed that superheroes were finally becoming a part of the modern age. I hope to see Tobey come back for Spider-Man: No Way Home.

It was so cool seeing all three Peter Parkers (Maguire, Garfield and Holland) on the screen at the same time! Everyone in my local theater burst out in cheers and claps when Garfield Peter showed up for the first time, as well as Maguire Peter! :D

@Shahed Miah he meant developed naturally, which is disgusting to me. Him making the web shooters encapsulates how smart Peter really is. People think it's not realistic for a highschool kid to be able to make a gadget that might just be more high-tech than the military, from the same movie that a spider bite makes you jump high and climb walls.

Yeahhh agreed, but this is crazy unrealistic. Think of the amount of calories you'd need to consume to produce this much material lol. The web shooters make way more sense, but I like the "natural" version more.

The camerawork is incredible! Tobey Maguire is really crawling but the way the camera moves and is positioned makes it look like he is climbing up the wall. Sam Raimi is such a clever filmmaker!
