One key detail I love about this fight is Andrew usually jokes around while fighting and makes up nick names but you can feel the desperation in this because he didn’t crack a single joke or nickname during this fight. He’s completely serious and that really separates this fight from the other spidermen fights

This still holds up as one of the most intense scenes in a Spider-Man movie. Spider-Man is struggling so much that he's literally using every limb he has to stop that web from snapping. It puts you right on the edge of your seat.

It’s honestly a shame. This movie is such a mess but taken on their own, some of the scenes like this truly are Amazing! The fight choreography is dynamic, intense, and creative, and perfectly builds to Gwen’s death!

I love this goblin he actually was terrifying. I love how he seemed more drugged infused and more goblin man like that machinery. It makes him menacing and he also gives off psychotic trait very well.

Something I love about Andrew's Spider-Man is how he uses tactics in a fight. Inside the clocktower he sets up webs to limit Harry's mobility on the glider and uses the webs as places to climb around on.

"No... I was trying to protect you..." "Oh, hohohoh... LOOK AT ME!" I love that line.

Can we all agree that Andrew’s Spider-Man had the best physical ability of being Spider-Man. From web swinging to climbing, to fighting, this Spider-Man was definitely the most agile.

It's unfair to compare Harry's Goblin to Normans Goblin. They are two different people. I like this Goblins Attempt at separating from Willem's performance. TASM's universe has a gritty and dark tone which this goblin fits right in. If he had more screen time and development we could see a full version of the goblin face like in the comics. I see this as an anchor point for him being goblin, until he fully becomes a true monster.

It’s worth saying 1,000 times. Garfield’s Spider-Man had incredible acting, incredible visuals, and music… the only thing it suffered from was bad writing. We salute you Andrew Garfield. You did an incredible job with what you were given.

The actual goblin himself is pretty bad but the fight scene was excellent. The music, the stakes, the choreography. Fantastic. And then the mechanics of Gwen’s death? Beautiful. The way he accidentally strips the gear and then it snaps and the clock hand falls backwards right as she falls… man. Whoever set that entire sequence up is a genius.

Right when Harry realized Spider-Man was Peter , Peter should've gone on the offensive and told Gwen to get inside the building.

I love how after seeing No Way Home people are coming back to appreciate Andrew even more!

When ever I watch this back I feel like we needs the amazing Spider-Man 3, because both the amazing Spider-Man 1 and 2 was sooo good!

The music is underrated. This fight is intense. Spider-Man isn’t telling jokes or pulling punches. Easily the Best fight since Tobey and Goblin

I think that while the design for Goblin's head isn't that good- I liked the biomechanical suit itself and the glider, as well as the pumpkin bomb design. If they made the green slightly less muted and perhaps made the undersuit a darker shade of purple, I think it could have been almost perfect. I think the head design of the goblin could have been perfected if they gave him large goggles and a hood that somewhat concealed his identity, and the green hue of his skin could come about when "the goblin" is in charge.

I just loved the way this Spider-Man moved. Haven't seen him move or swing this way before and after this movie

This Goblin looked horrible but we can’t deny he was creepy asf … His laugh was spot on and the way he said “Look at me” was really creepy.

One thing I liked about this scene was how quickly Harry determined who Spider-man was and who was the one person he holds near and dear to his heart, and he took the knowledge he gained from learning both identities in the moment that he immediately knew how to ruin Peter's life. Also the music that plays in this scene is pretty fucking tense as shit and I love it.

That theme was fire. In the beginning

Peter ( baffled and shocked) : harry , what did you do ? Harry ( angry and revegeful) : what you made me do ? You were my friend and you betrayed me !!!!! This scene always gets me.

Am I the only one who loves the symbolism of this fight, mainly from 3:20 onwards? One of the major themes of this film was how Peter fought against his limitations between his normal life and Spider-Man, and that's personified best in this fight. When Gwen's hanging from a thread and Goblin's literally got him by the throat, Peter tries to stop the clock gears from cutting the thread. Spider-Man is trying to do the impossible: stop time. The whole sequence, with the gears shuddering and the clock hand twitching, makes it appear as though time is fighting back against Peter as he tries to save Gwen. He can do so many things, some all at the same time, as the films show, but he cannot stop time. That is beyond both him and Spider-Man. So the inevitable happens: Time goes forward, and Gwen dies. Because time stops for nothing, not even Spider-Man.

For all the other problems I have with this movie, the choreography as Harry and Peter fight inside the clocktower is incredible. Claustrophobic, agile, very fast-moving yet coherent and, remarkably, easy to follow.

The fact that their only 20 minutes of the movie left, this felt like it just thrown in for shock value, arguably Spider-Man's most iconic villain and he only gets 1/9 of the movie to shine!, talk about a waste of time.

With Max returning here after the events of No Way Home, I really wonder how things would've turned out. I think Peter would at first be surprised to see that Max is back to normal, except he would say how he does look different with the new clothes, hairstyle, and goatee. Max would try to start to explain about how he was in another universe, but then he sees Gwen appearing. He would feel nice to see the person that remembered his name. She would be glad to know he's back to normal too. Then Harry appears. Harry would be shocked to see Max back to normal. He would ask what happened, but then Harry notices Gwen and realizes Peter is Spider-Man. After Peter tells Harry he was trying to protect him, Harry then could say to Max "You... You were supposed to kill him. Why didn't you?!" Max tries to explain how he was sent to the other universe, but Harry interrupts him because he's too frustrated with everything going on. Harry probably even says "I should've left you in Ravencroft!" Harry then grabs Gwen and flies off and Peter goes after them. Max watches from down below as Gwen falls and Peter catches her. Max opens the door into the clocktower. Even though he is at the bottom, he tries to hurry all the way up the stairs to help out. When he gets as high as he can, he sees Gwen holding onto Peter's web. When Gwen is about to fall, he probably grabs her hand and tries to pull her over to the platform in which he saves her. If that doesn't happen, then he couldn't reach her and she still dies. When Max gets down to the first floor, he sees Peter crying. As Peter hugs Gwen's corpse, Max places his hand on Peter's shoulder and says "I'm sorry." Peter, like in the trailer of TASM2 which was cut out of the final cut, lets out a painful scream that echoes throughout the clocktower. And just like in the deleted scene, they hear Harry laughing from up above. Peter then goes back up there to kill him which freaks Max out. But he is then relieved when Peter doesn't kill Harry. The police then arrive and Max isn't arrested. Spider-Man even lets him be spared and he says that Max helped get the power back on. Since Max was basically an invisible man in Oscorp and people barely knew he existed, no one will know he was Electro and he will start a new life. He and Peter could stay in touch. Max probably even attends Gwen's funeral. When Rhino appears and Peter manages to get him arrested, Max probably helps Peter in this reality take down the Sinister Six by exposing Oscorp's secrets when hacking into secret files. He could even help design a better suit for Spider-Man. Peter then can say “I told you that I needed you” which puts a smile on Max’s face knowing they’re partners. Also, if Gwen were in No Way Home and found out about her death, Andrew’s Peter would explain before going back home how they can prevent her death from happening. If Gwen says she was brought into the MCU while holding onto Peter’s web, Peter could say she needs to swing to the platform to safety because the web will be cut. If she were brought just when she hit the button to drain Max’s power then it’s possible she and Max will both arrive at the exact same time. With this, she stays where she is so Harry doesn’t know she’s there. She will even hide under the window so Harry can’t see her. If Harry doesn’t kill Max for betraying him, he could escort Gwen out of there while Peter and Harry fight and he could drive her in the police car. They will even use the radio in the cop car to alert the authorities about Harry. Max could even drive Gwen to the airport so she can still get in her flight to London. If Max did get to help save Gwen when he got back to this universe, she’ll hug him and thank him. She even promises to be at his next birthday since she didn’t get to come to his in this movie.

1:47 harry dead! Don’t ever talk about this way to James Franco he may be killed by the hands of venom, but that doesn’t mean he’s gone.

This scene is easily one of the coolest Spiderman sequences, such darkness. Very edgy and stakes feel very realistic.

Fun fact: Gwen had many alternative ways to die that wasn't going to follow the web catching her. While Gwen was holding onto the web, Harry was supposed to cut the web, causing her to fall even before Peter could jump off. Another one would've had Harry stabbing Gwen in her chest. And one where he would snap her neck with his bare hands. And as a result to any of those endings, Peter almost beats Green Goblin to death with images of him throwing and slamming his body multiple times with Harry's face covered in green snot dripping down his nose with and blood all over. ...Jesus.

I love how Adrew Spider man has a cool head that never gives into pressure or fear, really loved that.
