"Spiderpig" by Hans Zimmer reached number three after climbing from the 20s in the Irish Music Charts. At just over a minute, it is the shortest track ever to make it in to the Irish Music Charts. In the U.K., it got as far as the Top 20.

Kudos to everyone who commented, praising The Simpsons prior to Season Nine. The 1990s was the best time for the show, and then the decline began. Down-rate all you want, but you cannot deny the truth. Spiderpig does not hold a significant place in Simpsons history. When you rack it up there with some of the most memorable visual gags of the golden era, it cannot compare. The film is was no better. A stab in the dark with disappointing results.

Hans Zimmer has done movie themes for pretty much every film I've seen including Lion King and many other disney films, Pirates (yes ur right) The Dark Knight, Spirit, and more. As far as soundtrack composers go - he's my hero! LOL

I can't believe Hans Zimmer would make an arrangement for that... "thing" Hahahahahaha I used to be a Hans Zimmer fan, but now after this I'll have to say I love him! XD

It was the only film I've seen where everyone in the audience was laughing at the same time as me.

Brilliant...I laughed so hard when I heard this during the credits...Personally I enjoyed the film even though it really was just an extended normal episode and had nothing that new but it was hilarious and everyone started clapping at the end...

It was sort of meant to be a parody of the music from the Spider-Man movie. It sounded kind of like this, but there were no lyrics and it was mostly just orchestrated music. There were a few notes in it that sounded like the original Spipider-Man theme, but you wouldn'tr really be able to notice them unless you tried.

@DerOrk Hans Zimmer didn't write this song, but he did the soundtrack to the movie and made this choir version. He also reorchestrated the opening theme which of course is by Danny Elfman. I had to check the DVD for this one as I would've thought Elfman did this soundtrack himself.

What was really funny was how many people were listed as lyricists for this song.
