Spider-Man 2 / Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) gives up his crime-fighting identity of Spider-Man in a desperate attempt to return to ordinary life and keep the love of MJ (Kirsten Dunst). Hands down , this is the greatest Spider-Man movie ever made in the whole series. Garfield and Holland are great , but the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies had that distinct feel to them that can’t be matched. Part 2 is hands down the best film of the Raimi trilogy because it has everything you want. Great character development, a sympathetic villain, AMAZING music score, comic relief and the kick ass fight scenes in this movie are some of the reasons why SPIDER MAN 2 is the greatest spider man movie and probably the greatest super hero film of all time next to THE DARK KNIGHT!!!

The Sandman underground subway fight just falls short of the best fight scenes in the Raimi trilogy, but THIS from the 2nd film deserves the top spot!! The way Spider Man uses the clock hand as a missile and throws it at Doc Ock is just badass. Before Ock throws it back down at him and Spider Man shoots his webs at Doc Ock thinking, "If I going down then you coming down with me." Both of Marvel's icons from good and evil brought their A GAMES to each other and either one was not holding back. I was 7 years old when I saw Spider Man 2 and was on the edge of my Mum's lap watching this epic encounter before I couldn't stop crying my eyes out after Peter passed out unconscious from stopping the train as well as Doc knocking him out with his tentacles at the end. Simply fantastic, one of the greatest Superhero fights in cinema history, no holds barred and a brilliantly filmed scene.

Agreed lol. That super low angle as he initially falls is just incredible but then the zoom out from Doc’s lenses makes it so much sweeter. I miss the graceful swings of the Raami movies

This scene alone shows how much stronger 💪 Tobey Maguire's Spider 🕷️ Man is compared to Andrew Garfield's Spider 🕷️ Man and Tom Holland's Spider 🕷️ Man. Not just his physical strength. But the strength of his webs 🕸️ too. I can only imagine how Tobey Maguire would have done against Thanos.

I’m addicted to trains, airplanes and subways, but this train scene is incredible, and I’m still watching when I was 3-5 yo. And the heroic mode of Peter to stop the train is breathtaking ❤

Spider-Man 2 is a perfect film. Tobey McGuire is my Peter Parker. Please notice how much he and director Sam Raimi look like brothers. Sam Raimi directed Dr. Strange Multiverse of Madness. One of MCUs best. Rally for Mr Raimi for one more time around. By GTG

You could see them go right past a stop as he destroys the brake lever. That’s how trains like that in big cities work lol There’s going to be a dead end/last stop-which upon that…the train turns around and does the same route over.
