@@Crims0n9088I'm 14 now. But I remember watching him when I was around 7-8, his mic was super quite, he sounded like a year 3. I remember his pension architect series and his sonic adventure stuff. I forgot how many subs he had back then.

Pretty sure the steam is supposed to come out the smokestack with the smoke. Pretty sure that's why steam trains had water towers stationed strategically along the miles upon miles of railway tracks. But this is cool too, thanks Spike for video!

Diesel trains use a big diesel engine to spin a big electric generator that powers a big electric motor, but I think there were briefly diesel-fired steam trains in existence

The smoke stack DOES go in the front because the smoke travels through the boiler to heat up the water to produce steam.

The stuff that comes out of the funnel is steam, not smoke. It runs by boiling water into steam and moving the steam to the pistons to make the piston rods move the wheels making motion, and the used steam goes out of the funnel. Hence why its called a steam train.

Correct. However smoke also comes out of the stack. It gets mixed in the smoke box

So uh, what you thought was a steam train, could actually be considered a turbine unit. Turbine units look like diesel trains but are powered by either Diesel/Gas or Coal. That loop of water was a steam turbine, meaning that the wire coming out of it would power a motor to turn the wheels. Good job, you made something that might actually work.

How does this only have under 50 likes and less than 500 views? Spike has so many subs. I just recently hit 20 and I get 5 - 10 views usually. With a 50% active audience, you should get over 500 views with around 10K subs.

Audience burnout. I think the problem with spikeviper is that everyone got tired of TPT and cities skylines and sandbox games. It doesn't bring in any views because noone wants to watch something they've seen 10 times already. Spike has had countless videos on cities skylines and TPT.

These boilers would work better if you had injectors in multiple spots using the portals. Oxygen plus fuel is more realistic. Then you could use the portals to make a water or other coolant "jacket" around the heat source instead of a single transfer surface. Scaling the injectors to the heat you want is also possible.
