Flushed Away is a 2006 animated adventure comedy film directed by Sam Fell and David Bowers. After an ignoble landing in Ratropolis, a pampered rodent (Hugh Jackman) enlists the help of a sewer scavenger (Kate Winslet) in finding his way back to his posh London flat. Getting home is not the only problem, however; a rodent-hating toad (Ian McKellen) wants his notorious cousin, Le Frog (Jean Reno), to exterminate the pair.

Flushed Away may not be a highly regarded animated film, But it's one that I personally enjoy! I especially love that Kate Winslet voiced Rita, And one of my favorite parts of this movie is when Rita's brother kept says "He's gonna steal your boat" that part always makes me laugh!

Sewers are in fact like that especially in larger areas where people need to go down for maintenance. Smaller towns are not likely to have a sewer system like that due to modern practices of just burying pipes. However places like NYC or a lot of older places in the UK (Or any older larger city) Is very likely to have these sorts of systems. Also, there are larger sewer systems an pipes made to be large enough for people also but these are also modern. Going back to NYC it's actually more common to see large pipes where people can go than the older style now and if I recall one of the main reasons is it's easier to replace and go in and clean. Yes, sewer systems need cleaning, look up Fatbergs if you want to know what I am referring too

there's a bunch of different theories as to why the french are called frogs. that the fleur de lys, their symbol, was mistaken by a frog, that they eat frog legs, that they sound like frogs when speaking. all of those could be true tbh, however the one i grew up hearing is that they sound like a frog when they talk

When I was a toddler, I flushed a bunch of Little People down the toilet while pretending it was a water park. The toilet got clogged to the point of overflowing and my kind yet incompetent nanny tried to shove my toys down the drain so my mom wouldn't find out. That just made the problem worse, and when my mom came home from work, she had to fish them out one by one with a coat hanger while I laughed hysterically. It's one of my earliest childhood memories.
