She got them while she was experiencing mania. She didn't make the decision of a sound mind, but rather because psychosis makes people do very drastic and dramatic things. I'm sure at the time she thought she wanted them, but now that she is no longer in psychosis, it is probably painful to remember the way she was experiencing life when she was manic.

She doesn't have bipolar disorder, though. She has a personality disorder. It isn't common for people with mental illnesses to be intentionally manipulative and exploitative the way that she is. The other thing is that, typically, mania only lasts for about 4-6 weeks before they become depressed instead - but she's been like this for several years in a row, even back in her Vine days.

Y’all expect bipolar people to be able to get help on their own and it’s baffling to me. I have Bipolar 1 and the only reason I’m not like Gabbie is because I got help when I was a kid. I got diagnosed with Bipolar very early on in life when I was like 14. I had therapy from the ages of 5-13 cause I also have ADHD. I also took alot of medication. Gabbie needs support from her family they are the only ones who can help her, she needs to be white warranted and only a immediate family member can get one. Idk if I agree she’d be fine but I do agree she’d be a hell of a lot better than this. We thrive on routine and natural safety nets. When you’re an influences and make your own schedule and do whatever the hell you want all day whenever the hell you want it’s really easy to slide aaalll the way down to “I fucked up so badly I have no support anymore”. Regular folk still gotta work to pay bills and have family and friends around for reasons other than money who’ll knock you on your ass way before that point. It’s still hard. People still get to the point she got to. But it’s not broadcasted for the world and you can always get back on track without forever being that trainee I no matter where you go. How hard is it to delete social media and just be on your own for a while. I've done it. Everyone I know who did it, absolutely saw an improvement in their mental (and sometimes even physical) health and hasn't gone back. Personally, KZfaq is the only thing I'm on and since deleting sm, I have felt better about my body, my energy increased, I got control of my ADHD and depression because I stopped having a constant flow of people's best days and fake shit to compare to my worst days. I had more time and I started having time to get back into things that actually make me happy. You don't HAVE to have it to live. People DESTROY themselves on apps literally BUILT to make sure you never feel like enough, using your own brain to ruin you. If you are struggling, GET OFF SOCIAL MEDIA. you'll be SHOCKED to see how much better you feel about everything. And I can just about guarantee that if you can make it through the detox phase (because it is an addiction whether you're self aware enough to realize it is or not) you wont want to go back. Ever.

I definitely agree that you don't need it, but tbh it may not be as easy for her. Literally every dopamine hit she's had since she was literally a teenager making videos on vine have been through social media. All of her greatest achievements have been because of social media, with her music and books. She would absolutely 100% benefit from deleting everything and getting some professional help to deprogram her brain and get better, but it's almost like a toxic, parasite of a relationship that she's been trauma bonded too. I can't blame her for desperately clinging to the thing that has been a constant source of chaos for her, she's not used to the quiet anymore, and then chaos is safer.

even though it was easy for you, it's not going to be the same for everyone. I can imagine it would be a lot harder for someone like her to just completely get rid of all her social media, because for the last decade or so that's how she's made her living. What would you do if some random stranger that doesn't really know you or your personal life came up to you and said "You're going a little crazy, maybe you should just completely step away from the only source of income you've had for over a decade." Do you see how kind of ridiculous it sounds? Also, just because something worked for you, doesn't mean it's gong to copypasta work for everyone. Everyone is different and everyone has vastly different experiences in this life. Personally I think we all just need to mind our business and just be kind.

@@lilred_lady4792 she could get a normal job. You can change your life anytime you want. Excuses like that are literally only used because you're scared. If she spent her money well and lived within her means and didn't die for the drip, she probably wouldn't even need a job or could even work a part time for a little extra. If you see something in your life that causes you stress and pain all the time, you can always change it if you try. I did MULTIPLE times (including work) once I got therapy and learned if something affects my mental health so badly that I'm crying every day, it's not worth it. I went from working dead end jobs to a career making 6 figures because I refused to stay in a place that made me unhappy and I did something about it. You can look for new jobs (especially in today's job market LMAO) you can delete social media even if it's your job. If it doesn't bring you peace and it ruins your life/mental health, you should get rid of it, and that goes for anything. Yes I understand that people need to make money but there's always other ways to make money. People change jobs every day, hers being on social media does make it any different. Allowing the fear of change to keep you unhappy is doing yourself a disservice and will ultimately ruin your life. EVERYONE can change their life, little by little. again, especially in today's job market because people are quitting in droves. If she was smart with her money, she could quit and live fairly comfortably without even having to work for a HOT minute. She's CHOOSING to stay online to profit off her sadness and "woe is me" that's a CHOICE. She can quit and get a job at any time. Her having been online for however long doesn't change that. I have empathy for everyone, but crying because you're sitting on a nail and it hurts without doing anything to change the fact that you're sitting on a nail makes no fucking sense. She's very clearly profiting off her mental health (or lack there of) and while that's a decision she's making and more power to her I guess, she won't be happy until she gets actual therapy and realizes that being famous isn't everything. It's ok to step back, get a normal job and clear her mind. You can't get better continuing to drink the poison that hurt you in the first place. You can't. So either you stop drinking it or you kill yourself because you like the taste. She chose the latter and it's sad for her but the reality is, it's ALWAYS a choice, especially for someone as well off as her.
@julia.carr1129
@julia.carr1129 Жыл бұрын
@@lilred_lady4792 and if some random person saw me going crazy and ruining my mental health just to be famous told me I needed to step back, I would listen and give it some thought. It actually happened to me. A new coworker at a dead end job found me crying in the break room and asked me what was wrong. I explained I very few details and she gave me a hug and said "step away from anything that doesn't serve you. Go to therapy and start writing your feelings out. Figure out why you feel the way you feel and then go from there. Make a plan. It helped with my anxiety and then when you feel comfy with how much you know about your situation, start changing it" I listened instead of being prideful and I thanked her. A few weeks later I enrolled into trade school because I love IT and wanted to get certifications. So I saved what little extra cash I had and paid for cert after cert. I then applied for IT jobs everywhere, got a better job and I'm now working in a field I fucking LOVE making over 6 figures easily (that's not even including bonuses for the extra work I do or the Amazon gift cards that my boss throws at employees every week that goes above and beyond) I changed my life when I felt trapped because I had the humility to take advice from a little old lady who was a virtual stranger to me. I got therapy and I'm happier than I've ever been. Being miserable about where you are and not doing anything about it is a CHOOSE. I have no parents, no support system other than two people and I have no one to save me if I fail. I also have depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD and they are all diagnosed and I'm on antipsychotics and antidepressants just to make it through the day. I made maybe 20 bucks every paycheck that didn't go to food and bills. And I spent that money to invest in bettering myself so my mental health could improve. So no. It's never impossible to change your life. All it takes is humility, hard work, and a bit of bravery. At the end of the day, you choose how you react to stimuli in your life. You can choose to lay down and give up or you can choose to push harder and keep going. You choose to seek help or you choose to stay stuck in your head screaming woe is me. When you have as much money as she has, seeking help, changing jobs, and getting the care she needs is FAR from impossible. If I can do it with the shit I've gone through and how broke i was barely making ends meet and barely able to even get the gas to go to work with absolutely no support system, then so can she. And if we're just talking about her career, she'd be smart to get help. She's getting millions of supporters on her side, supporting and following her therapy journey, waiting for the breakthroughs and watching her get better. She'd probably have a lot more people willing to back her which in turn she could profit from. So yeah. No. She absolutely can change and get help. She can take a mental health break, get therapy and then come back with a better handle on life and profit from the entire ordeal. She's far better off than most people and she chooses to not make choices to get better because she wants the people who watch her because she behaves so crazy online it's hard not to. Like a train wreck. She profits off being crazy so she chooses to continue that because she's scared that nothing else will profit the same way.

I think her biggest struggle is not treating her bipolar consistently and giving it the severity it deserves and having no one around her to catch her when she’s starting to go on the deep end because she starts fights with people who don’t agree to everything she says and thinks. She’s had ptsd for a long time now, and that, mixed with bipolar, is a hell of a combo that needs to be taken seriously. The bullying wasn’t cool, but ultimately, it is not the root of all this mess, more another issue piled on to the rest.

Some people have spiritual awakenings, some people think they’re the main character in an action movie where everyone is out to get them, some people think they’re the hero and are here to save all the plebes from themselves. It’s important to get help early because it starts with thinking but tattoos are super deep and ends with meeting strangers in your house and waking up to having to get a shit ton of tattoos removed. On a good episode.

You clearly missed the point. She's removing them because tattoos clearly aren't for her, and she got them while trying to be somebody she isn't. Your next step should be an education.

Yeah I think the neck tats actually suit her so well! And usually they don't look great on a lot of people, you have to have a certain "je ne sais quoi" to pull em off. But it's her body so if it makes her feel better to remove them 🤷‍♀️ and I also agree, plus you can find new meaning in old things and things from your past. You don't have to completely erase everything. But it seems like a classic bi polar cycle to me, I just hope she can find ways to cope that she won't regret later.

Most people would be shocked how getting stabilized on medication (if needed for a mental health condition) can help one thrive. Although with bipolar there is certainty in the fact that all ups will come down and all downs will go up this way of living is not sustainable. The level of relief when you can finally stop feeling like you’re on an absolute rollercoaster that you have no control of is immense. I hope she can commit to treatment and take time off the internet. It’s hard enough when you’re not being watched and criticized by the whole world. She is in a vulnerable place and her platform doesn’t make it easier on her. I hope she can find the support she needs.

I’ve noticed a lot of people saying “She should get off social media” as if that’s going to resolve her bipolar. The reality is this is what mania looks like, and it continues even off the screen. Just my two cents, anyway.
@fergieestaenlacasa

I think more so her relationship with social media is toxic af and it enables and worsens her mania. Maybe she’d get help quicker if there weren’t so many misinformed people gassing her up in the early stages of mania when everything seems harmless or unrelated. Bipolar is so misunderstood even in the medical community, having the validation of hundreds of thousands of people when people around you are telling you you’re in the wrong isn’t helpful when you’re already prone to believing you know best and have that grandiose mentality creeping in. It’s less about “I don’t want to watch her be manic” for the well intentioned people saying she shouldn’t be on social media and much more about “her relationship to social media is clearly feeding and enabling her declining mental health”. I follow other creators with mental health issues and even bipolar and I can see how they not only take their bipolar seriously but they work hard to develop a healthy relationship to their platform. Gable Hannah for a long time now has tried and failed because one of the first signs I tend to see in her is thinking she’s the only person with the answers and anyone disagreeing doesn’t see the grand master plan at play in the universe that she has access to. Sure it’s ego and whatever other character flaws mixed in too but I think her ego only gets so bad because she’s slowly ramping up to a manic episode and her stans has her up so much by the time she starts acting visibly erratic and people try to help her she’s too far gone to reach.

IMO, in her recent video’s her eyes look like she really is starting to feel “better”, whatever better really means for Gabby. I’m not feeling a frantic/anxious or dramatic vibe from what we are seeing of her. Regardless, I do hope life in general for her is getting better. This MAY be a good sign she’s seeing a therapist. Traditional therapy believes tattoos and piercing are a type of ‘self harm’ and are signs of depression. (I have 14 tattoos, don’t come for me. Just stating what old school therapists think). If a therapist mentioned this to her, she is the type of manic person that would overthink that and go to these lengths to get rid of them. The sad part is, she is probably under the idea that removing them will somehow help her in a dramatic way. I can see how a tattoo may bring back bad ideas/memories/etc, but the scars from the removal process can invoke the same memories. Or it may help a bit, but I don’t think it’s gonna help as much as Gabbie thinks it will.
