The chick looked like the chick yesterday afternoon. Maybe it's a chick from the Shrike. EDIT: is a Lapwing chick
Every now and then I thought she wanted to feed Klints. She went to Klints's head with the prey and began to cut it up. She had small bites in her beak and waited .. but of course he doesn't move. She ate the bird and then flew away. First on the camera stand.

Spilve just can't seem to give up on her baby. She must come to terms with his death and move on. She looks too thin and must take care of herself. First-time mom; so sad!

Why nobody here tells the truth?! The poor baby bird died of food poisoning. Unfortunately in some countries the farmers kill the rats and mice with poison. The mother bird captured them after the mice ingested the poison and brought to her baby unknowingly.

He died. Dad despear or something happend to him. By the time mom came back poor baby died from hunger.

Too bad they don't eat fish; just little birds not enough nutrition for adults or a growing eaglet. Not much food available in that area; rabbits, squirrels?, voles, etc. Not sure I want to see them killing little song birds. Not much meat, just hollow bones and feathers.
