Aomori is Japan's main island most northern prefecture in the Tohoku region. A region often overlooked by tourists as they mainly travel south to the Kansai and Kyoto area.
But this is a must visit place for those who want to escape into a healing and refreshing environment.
Stay at the luxurious Hoshino Resorts Oirase Keiryu with one of the most impressive private onsen and outdoor baths we have been to and it is sure to be an unforgettable experience.
Mostly known for apples and the nebuta festival, the Oirase Gorge 14 km stretch made us fall in love with the Aomori.
Exploring this area made us feel like we were in the middle of one of our favorite anime fantasies.

Your images are delicate and wonderful. The comments are also full of poetry. I also stayed at the same hotel three times. I took a walk along the Oirase Stream just like you. In autumn and summer, the amount of water and the color of the trees change, and the scenery changes completely. I am impressed by your words below. For Aomori we went middle of November but it felt like it was already past peak autumn. So I would try late October or earlier November for better autumn colors. Thank you!
