TEDx Talks

Күн бұрын

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. What's the most nutritious food on earth? Is it a kind of meat? Or a kind of plant? Get to know it by watching this talk.
Founder & CEO of Spiruu, a biotechnological startup that creates a device which is able to produce spirulina - the most nutritious food on Earth. Apart from galloping through the forests and meadows on a horse, she loves to observe and create. Starting from small things, as few words to make friends happy to big ideas, as popularising biotechnology in everyday life and changing eating habits by popularising cultivation and consumption of Spirulina.
About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

Stop criticizing her accent and usage of English. For those who are, try traveling the world and see different people to appreciate all people. And try to speak her Native language, it is probably worse than her English. Her English is just fine!

Most excellent information! I'm amazed at the negative comments - it was not at all what I expected, especially from a TED-watching audience. At minimum I watch all talk-vids on KZfaq at 1.5x and her accent/English as an issue didn't even occur to me until I read the comments, since I had zero problem. Weird. Anyway, from what I've extensively read on spirulina, she was spot on. Will have to research the Kanembu tribe.

Very good information about Superfood Spirulina. So true we are what we eat. That's why we very often find the plastic packaging left in nature by those people who are eating not a good choice of food. It makes them sort of uncaring for nature as well. I very much like her accent as well it makes languages more interesting. She is very courageous because it is not easy to speak in front of a crowd in a foreign language.

I think her accent and speech is charismatic. She has delivered an interesting and invaluable lecture. I must say that we Europeans are used to hearing different languages and many Europeans speak English with varying accents. Also children at school learn a second language and even a third!! It stands to reason if one considers that Europe is multinational.

@@Ferdinand.. All of the above. You have no idea what kind of transformation your body, mind, spirit, and soul will go through if you consume things from the oceans and seas. Seaweeds especially, they are the single most important food-source for humans. It contains all of the minerals your body is composed of, it will make you a super-human. Not a joke, real talk. Of the highest order, period. Dulse, Kelp, Irish Moss, Bladderwrack. Even Spirulina and Chlorella are AMAZING (chlorophyll and vitamins/minerals and phyto-nutrients.) Also, another great pre-powdered green superfood powder that has these effects is "Vitamineral Greens" and "Vitamineral Earth" by Healthforce Nutritionals. Hope this helps! - Brian

For all those making fun of her accent ... whenever you come across a person with the strongest of accents and you listen intensely, you might be surprised how well you can understand them. If you give it a chance and some real effort, it can be amazing how easy it is to understand ... It can get some NEURONS FIRING in your brain. Firing neurons means new connections are being made and your INTELLECT GROWS ... that means you are getting SMARTER. Yes, listening to someone with a challenging accent can actually be a blessing. It's not really a bad thing at all. Consider seeing the glass is half full. Just give it a chance. You know if many of us tried to speak a little Russian with her, it would probably be so bad, she would probably laugh involuntarily. So ... why don't the complainers cut her a little slack? BTW, how many who bash her accent have done a TED talk that everyone can watch?

RealEstateInsider247 As I read your comment after a read many comments complaining about her accent I slowly started understanding her ever so clearly like there was no accent barrier. I am on a journey in my life and this video was excellent. Her being cute helped me hang around and try to understand bc I just started taking Spirulina. I was searching through tho comment section for testimonials, but all I came across was complaints on accent, as I was trying to understand her. It’s funny I understood her for a second then after I started reading comments it got hard to understand her all of a sudden, then I read your comment and I drowned out everything I read and focused on her and it seemed like she was speaking good English, it’s like my mind began to shave down the strength of her accent and it became very understandable. Thank you fir this comment sir. This was definitely a blessing for me I am so glad I am growing. If your in real estate still point me to some start ups bc I really want to get into it. Thank you 🙏🏾 Peace Brother

@Ritinha9844
@Ritinha9844 3 жыл бұрын
A starter culture is the mix of microorganisms you use to make a product. Example of starter culture: When you make yogurt, you use x and y microorganisms right? So your starter culture to make yogurt is x and y For to make Spirulina, all you need is water, nutrition (food for the spirulina), and the Spirulina itself. Here, the spirulina is your starter culture and by adding water and food you are making it grow and reproduce. Hope that makes sense :)

There's research regarding that. It contains pseudo B12, which can take over receptors, thus blocking attachment of actual B12. Blood tests can't differentiate between the two types and won't show a deficiency. It may be a good idea to take B12 hours apart from ingesting spirulina.

Maybe it is all psychological but i do feel great. But understanding that the cell membrane is actually digestible to humans any that spirulina being a single celled organism is already at its smallest size possible making it even easier to digest and jam-packed with phytonutrients gives me some sense of healthiness. I eat about 60 tablets a day. But I will say that sometimes I do go without for maybe a month or so. But then I remember and I try to stay on them. I bought bags and bags of them in tablet form from eBay. Where I found the best prices. But I think if you want to try and write a daily log of how you feel and then start taking spirulina I think it would be great for you. You can come back and let me know how you feel.

60 tablets.. Must be fucking *small* tablets! You shouldn't need such a high dosage! Especially since you can fucking poison yourself with some of the vitamins in the damn stuff! Slow the fuck down!
