It is blaming one guy, but in the playoffs your studs have to be the studs man. Just like in the NFL, the QB gets more credit and more blame then they deserve. Sid, Ovi, McKinnon, Gretz, Messier, Malkin, Kane, Vasi, etc. These guys are all stars and they shined the brightest when it mattered most.

Interesting matchup, Rangers aren't a great 5v5 team but they finish and have a top special teams unit. Rangers have a better goalie and Carolina struggles to finish at times.

I’ll say That I do think The Rangers will beat Carolina regardless but if The Isles push it another game then I think it will be easier beating the canes. They’re down two really important key players and The Rangers will be well rested. Rangers also have more and better depth.

Jets fan here, I’ve been backing the jets core the whole time they’ve been here and always had hope they could get it done. But the jets have truly proven they don’t have what it takes, they honestly have to blow it up. They just don’t have the right kind of guys, these guys could be great somewhere else but they’re not a winning team as constructed. I’m really not sure there’s an untouchable on the nhl roster outside of Josh Morrisey.

Leafs are a top 10 team but not top 5. So them being down 3 games to 1 is not shocking. Bruins beat them every game this year easily. Why are people shocked by the same thing in the playoffs. Also had bad luck and goaltending wasn't as stellar. Healthier players and a bit more luck and easily we could be up 3-2. I'm a bit surprised x players are so surprised. Why aren't they going after the other teams that are down 3-1. I love the Leafs but they were never a top cup contending team this year.

I dont care how many so called playoff type players you add to a team. If your stars arent the best players on the ice for your team, they will not win in the playoffs. You can have a billion regular season points, but if you arent producing or leading from the front in the playoffs the team has no shot. Especially on a team like the Leafs where a couple guys are making so much money. There is a reason guys like Sid, Stamkos, Kuch, Bergeron all took a little less, it is so they could be surrounded with more talent top to bottom. Toronto could sure use a guy like Hyman right now digging out some greasy goals.

1) You don't win cups with Mexicans 2) Matthews quit on the team in the third period. He heard booing and he decided he did not want to wear the jersey anymore, he abandoned the team. You CANNOT WIN WITH that. Keefe’s legacy in Toronto: - Losing to a 42 year old Zamboni driver who works for them - Getting embarrassed in a play-in bubble playoffs. - Twice losing to a COVID ravaged Canucks team. - Blowing a 5-1 lead to the last place Senators - Dropping Freddie for Jack Campbell in 2021 but sticking with Samsonov in 2024. - Blowing a 3-1 series lead to Montreal because Galchenyuk was your best hope. - game 7 2022 and game 5 2023. - getting embarrassed by Marner anytime he tries to discipline him - all of the above was done AT HOME

Similar sized guys, both playmakers, but Mitts is a madman for winning puck battles while Marner looks like he's scared of getting hit in a goddamn playoff game. Carolina hasn’t looked all that great. Got outplayed in game 1, lucky to win game 2. They could easily be down 3-1. We’ll see how it shakes out next round. Biz can go suck it.

Marchand a lock for the hall Biz? Shouldn’t character and style of play be considered? - most suspended player in NHL history. Slew foots, spearing, elbowing, clipping, low-bridge. Then there’s the fines, licking guys faces. I respect the guys talent and he’s an absolute horse when it comes to the big moments but his antics shouldn’t be rewarded with a prestigious induction into the great hall. It’s not like he had one bad year of behaviour. He doesn’t learn, doesn’t care, and still makes dangerous plays out there including that most recent uncalled slew foot on Bert
