Like Natasha Fonte says, "here, there and everywhere!" can you hear her sweet accent? My favorite was the one you mixed with the champagne ink/paint and grey I believe? I usually usually whatever I have handy and use my brushes since I usually use those when I"m crafting.

I've never done splattering. I have made shimmer spray before though. I just buy eyeshadow from the dollar tree (make sure mica is the 1st ingredient), smoosh it up of not already on powder form, and add to alcohol in a dollar tree 'travel' spray bottle (they come in packs of 2 usually).

Just a suggestion from from someone who has been making sprays for years. After you fill your bottle with the liquid/powder/liquid, it is a good idea to put your thumb tightly over the top and shake well BEFORE you put the lid back on. There is less chance of getting powder stuck in the bottom of the tube. I found this out the hard way! lol and just so you know...yes...there is a resin in perfect pearls that sets the powder. You can lightly mist with water, but that's all. Love this video...god bless!

Yes, pefect pearls does have that but I refrain from mentioning it as many people with use different micas expecting the same results but fail. As a content creator it's better for me to simplify and get to the end result as direct as possible without adding too many variables. This is where people get confused most times. 😉💗

This just popped up in my feed. I am LOVING my diy oxide sprays. I bought 10 mini spray bottles, and the 2 oz tube of Windsor and Newton white gouache. So much fun! I put too much gouache in several, but after spraying over a 12x12 paper, I added more water to my bottle. So much fun!!!

Love, love, love to splatter cos it’s so cool! Gotta say, I’ve forgotten about my Perfect Pearls, but will experiment with them too. I think my most favourite it the gouache spray. Thanks so much for sharing your experiments with us; you’ve saved us a lot of work! Happy day to you!

Hi Beautiful! This was super informative and you got my brain spinning. How do you decide which of your splatters your want to use? What is the best way to determine if you want a dark /black or light/white or pastel or other color background? Have you ever used gum arabic ? I bought some off of Amazon for making my own watercolors and splatters/sprays but haven't used it yet. Thank you Cindy Lynn I enjoyed watching this video as always!

Soooo many questions!! There is a daily limit of one here you know! lol 😂 I decide on a splatter that seems to match the colors of my card. Normally white as I normally go with a white card base. I've still not used Gum Arabic, but I seem to remember picking some up a while back and stashing it. I should go look for it lol. It's used as a binder right?

Why did you not use a silver acrylic or watercolor paint? Also, Grumbacher is a student grade paint as opposed to Golden which is professional. Pro paints have more pigment in them.

THANK YOU for sharing your mad "splattering skills/recipes" with us. I'm also grateful for the links your provided. As I was watching the video and saw the bottle of "heat spray" you were using I was like "great" a brand of a product I've never seen, oh well maybe just maybe she'll add a link to something similar or someone will inquire about a brand that can be purchased in the US. The brand you linked I have seen, thank you. I am unsure how you keep yours from gluing the sprayer holes shut - while I've never made any concoctions like you are master mixer of I can confirm that my experiences with the heat spray I've purchased and used does indeed clog up the sprayer nozzle, nothing a run under hot water can't conquer but irritating none the less. I 100% agree with you about the SU spritzer bottles, I love them for their size but always get irritated when I spritz with them and get some fine spritz and then some big globs/blobs ((#$^@)) during those times. I've been mixing the shimmer paint in them ever since the shimmer paint was released a couple of years ago (back when there were I think 4 not just the 2 now. I think it might be time for me to also look for some different spray bottles use for when I want a FINE MIST & no more annoying blobs. I might need to re-watch your video to see if I can capture the brand of the "stuff" you dumped down your drain so I can see if I can find that same brand in the US - (and to think I thought I was the only one that did things like that) not to mention I love the oval shaped bottles. Again, THANKS for all you share, I'm going to have to give the heat spray/Pearls Pearls a whirl since I already have the Perfect Pearls in my craft room and like you - the Biscotti color is NOT MY fav color either - who wants or likes dirty white ?

The stuff I dumped down the drain was a fragrance that came in the bottle I wanted to use for sprays 😉 I have yet to have a heat protectant spray 'gum up' my nozzles. Perhaps it's the mica or powders causing you an issue? Remember to use Alcohol with the shimmer paint for just plain shimmer mist sprays. No need using a more expensive heat protectant spray for that. Have fun playing with your Perfect Pearls, and yes, who likes dirty white?!? haha 😂😂💗

the issues I've experienced with the heat protectant spray is in/with the sprayer itself when using the product for it's "intended purpose, on my hair" the little hole in the sprayer can get gummed over with product but a little trip under hot water in the sink fixes it - I was just thinking/pondering/wondering if it would clog easily when using it as a shimmer spritz/spray since I've not yet mixed it with Perfect Pearls (but I'm going to give it a whirl) - As to the "fragrance" in the little bottles aka "sink stink up" I was just wondering if the product you find at your dollar stores can also be gotten in the US ;) (since I have a love of the little oval shaped bottles) but I suspect that is a Canadian product and not one also available in the US :( - as to the alcohol/shimmer paint mix, yes that is how I do it, just the 2. Thanks for responding to my comments :D

I would check your local Dollar Tree to see. They may have it there too? As for the HP Spray, I have yet to ever have one gum up on me. Do you perhaps live somewhere humid or very hot? I wonder if the environment plays a factor 🤔😊💗

Not sure if you answered this question in the video, or not. I did skip back through to see if you did, but didn't hear anything about it. My question is.. when making the shimmer spray with the Perfect Pearls, can alcohol be used instead of water, so it dries faster? I have the shimmer spray made with water and it does warp my cardstock, so thinking if alcohol would work, that would be awesome.
