The level of snark and slyness is off the charts. I nearly died at the "emergent gameplay" quip! There's something about how comfortable they all are with each other to eviscerate each other. Carmen's "I respect you too much" to Sullivan into Cedric's "noted". It's brutal.

At 15:46 the token from voice of resurgence should be a 2/2 even before the exalted trigger, since it has the text "this creatures power and toughness are each equal to the number of creatures you control" and there is the noble hirarch on his side of the battlefield as well. Interestingly the electrolyze is still able to kill both creatures, because the token gets one damage marked on it and the noble hirarch dies. Thefore the token becomes a 1/1 with one damage on it and dies as well. This interaction was not obvious to see and could have been explained (since all the shock lands etc. are explained as well). But the way it was played, even though missleading, lead to the correct outcome. Anyway really enjoy the episode :)

Love the sheer game knowledge at the table and how it's outstripped only by the dry wit and chemistry. Such an enjoyable watch.

Great production quality, loving these. Just a heads up the visuals around the token attacking with exalted are incorrect, it's a */* for number of creatures so it's a 2/2, exalted would make it a 3/3. Electrolize still kills it as killing the noble hierarch reduces it to a 1/1 (which was visualized instead of it being the proper 2/2)

I was wondering why the token was dying anyway and was about to leave a comment saying it shouldn't have. I'm glad I scrolled down a bit to find your comment since you are right and that token dies anyway after the hierarch dies!!

Best Show Yet! It very decisively proves the age old adage, "Those who can - do... Those who can't - teach". What a terrific show. Thanks Prof.

screaming "counter, draw!" (43:24) at blocking a shot in basketball had me laughing out loud. an enjoyable series (the matches and Shuffle Up & Play), and it was great to hear the stories and banter from Cedric, PSully, and Carmen.

Love the way the gameplay sort of doubles as a tutorial. MTG has been a bit overwhelming to me at times, I am learning a lot and in a very fun way!! Thank you for this!!!

I love this channel cause I get to see all the kinds of formats. I'm an old casual player and the new meta just threw me through all kinds of loops, I'm finally at a point I feel comfortable with what's going on in the game again.

This is fantastic! Great players, know their stuff, funny, obviously familiar with each other and everyone is familiar enough with the game that they have no problems offering the most comprehensive game coverage I've ever seen, for any game. Well done!

I only got into magic in 2020 and quickly made my way to Commander, so I'm loving seeing a little bit of other formats, and ESPECIALLY loving seeing this sort of "famous decks from Magic's past"! Thanks for all your work, Prof. :)

Even though I'm hip deep in Marvel Champions, I have found memories with MtG. Played when it first was released with my two older brothers teaching me how to play. Sure, in a three player game, they both double teamed on me so they could focus on actually playing the game fore real. But I still had a great time watching them play. Definition of an instant classic

Was the token not a 2/2 during the snapcasted electrolyze? Edit: I was wrong, see replies

it would have died because the hiearch dying puts it back to 1/1 and the damage is still there . so in the end it's ok 👍

It was but after the hierarch died it became a 1/1 with 1 damage marked on it. The video editing was slightly confusing about it.

Okay 1) this is in strong contender for funniest mtg video I’ve ever seen 2) this is the SINGLE most new player accessible mtg video I’ve ever seen. Every card is covered in detail. We get a good shot and an explanation. Very well done!

15:44 the token would of survive because he gets a +1 +1 for each creature he Controls. So when he split the two damage his token would be at 1/1 not 1/0
@jordanwallendorff1089

I had the exact same question, then I figured it out. When electrolyze deals one damage to each, hierarch dies immediately and token goes from 2/2 to 2/1, essentially. Then, when hierarch leaves battlefield, token goes to 1/0, which kills it
