Walter Ray: (converts 4-6-7-10) Also Walter: (regrets life)
@ianandersen265 Жыл бұрын
Regrets life? I think Walter regrets that he wasn't more successful, that old age has compelled Walter to leave the PBA, that the PBA has gone downhill since the 80's, management doesn't always operate in the players' best interests, and that Walter's relationship didn't work out with Paige. All we know about the Walter and Paige marriage, is that they got divorced, and Walter's current wife only spoke vaguely about what happened (probably an agreement not to bash each other publicly) leading up to the divorce.

5:09 Belmonte hit the headpin of the first ball and only picked up four pins. That in itself is quite an anomaly. Then to convert that split is impressive, but it's easier than the Greek church because of the added 3-pin. Still, it's very rare and was exciting for the crowd to see.

called a back up ball
@Krranski3 жыл бұрын
This might create some controversy, but Simonsen often shoots it a similar way these days. Backup balls have utility in the right situations and lane conditions. There was a time when backup balls were laughed at, since they were very rare at the professional level. But a lot of tricks like this have become more common in the modern game where versatility is imperative to being a champion. Anything reasonably within the rules to get the pins down is becoming acceptable and I think that's awesome.

About 5 years ago I had a dream that I made the 4-5-6-7-8-9-10 in the 10th frame to win a match by 1 pin. I threw a crazy fast sweeping hook shot that hit at about the 4-5-7-8 spots. The 8 took out the 9 and 10, while something popped out and tipped the 6 forward. As you can imagine, my teammates went bananas when they saw it.
