The redesigned 2265 is the fastest model in Split-Fire’s self-contained log splitter line up, perfect for splitting at the cottage or for rural landowners. Coupled with a 3″ cylinder rated at 18 tons, it can split rounds up to 30” at a 6-8 second cycle time, i.e. in the reverse-and-forward stroke, so 1 stroke = 3-4 seconds!
For added reliability, the standard Kohler SH265 engine can be upgraded to a HONDA GX 200. Every SPLIT-FIRE® 2265 comes standard with road tow tires, safety chains and a 2” ball coupler, which allows it to be towed at 55 mph (90 km/h).
The 2265 has been designed with comfort and efficiency in mind. The 24” stroke length remains standard, but an increased bed height of 28” and wider log shelves of 7” were added, allowing for a more ergonomic work station.
The 2265 comes available with a list of options including a Hydraulic Log Lifter, 24” X 15” Log Table, 16″ Hitch Extension, Road Tow Light Kit, Fenders and Rear Utility Hitch. The Hydraulic log lifter is actuated via a selector valve and easily mounts to the existing control valve. This option can be easily fitted to assist while splitting large blocks of wood and doubles as a work table in the raised position. All the listed options are bolt on options and only require light assembly. No fabrication is required.
