I don't know. For me it's not just Jason. The entire movie feels totally unlike Friday the 13th and in conformity to the trends of the time and the Michael Bay style, not to mention the TREMENDOUS amount it "borrows" from Wrong Turn 2 while being wholly different in overall tone.
