I've been horde the whole time I've played this game, and I can say, I definitely do NOT stan Sylvanas. Genocide? No. The elves didn't deserve that.

This will probably come sometime during the expansion. Probably prior to a major update including Azshara.

Not everyone has the chance to play in the first few days of the release.

In Addition to not everyone being able to play yet, it really is a different thing if random youtubers upload these cutscenes or if the Official World of Warcraft Channel Does it. They are known to release cinematics etc that are not from the game, so if they dont mark an actual video from the expansion as a spoiler that would really upset a few people who just wanted to check out that "new offical WoW clip"

But which part of this would be considered a spoiler? That nobody died in this particular encounter? Knowing that playing through the Siege of Lordaeron scenario that your awesome experience won't be the thing ending the expansion before it has begun?

This in the outcome of the Battle for Lordaeron. Knowning what happened in the end is obviously a spoiler. Sylvanas could have killed someone else, she could have gone to prison, etc. It affects some people because they like to hype themselves up and play through things. People have different sensibilities. Most of all, if something like this is pulled OUT of the game, it's a spoiler. Anything that tells you the story before the person reads, watches or plays it, is a spoiler. You may not think it would affect things much, I personally don't care much about it, but it needs to be respected and makes complete sense. Knowing only just a few things ahead can emotionally ruin the whole build up to that moment.

Traditional Horde values is basically what she did! Play the original games! One & Two! The Horde broke the Azeroth army, sacked Stormwind and KILLED EVERYONE in it! Lothar lead the survivors across the sea to the High Elve's, (who the alliance betrayed) and Dwarves and the Lordaeron Kingdom to unite them into THE Alliance. Traditional Horde is Kill the enemy. The Horde changed under Thrall. Sylvanas took the Horde back to a more...traditional Horde. A true successor to Blackrock.

Genn is blinded by hatred and acts pretty dumb. The whole alliance lead falls right into Sylvanas' trap. .... and without Jaina, this would have been the end of the war, with Sylvanas win.

eeeehhhhh, less doing nothing and more not knowing what was happening. After all, Gilneas was walled off from the rest of the world throughout the 3rd war. Only reason they got back into the world was due to Garrosh wanting Gilneas as it served as the perfect port city which was near lorderon at the time and Deathwings advance which ruptured the wall and caused the first gate to fall.

To be honest in Warcraft there is no one else who pissed Arthas more than Sylvanas did :D And about her contribution to war effort... Go play Warcraft 3 with Frozen Throne, you'll understand. She kicked Scourge out of Lordaeron, almost killed Arthas and destroyed his bases in Eastern Kingdoms. After that only parts of Plaguelands was in hands of Scourge. So she did virtually everything (combined with some alli forces and BElf forces) in pre-WOTLK.

Justifying it..? No. Not at all. As stated, it was a totally F***ed up move - but it was also her only one. (what's more..? it worked. So, yes - NOTHING like Garrosh.) From a tactical stand point..? (and that's really the only one, as there are no other reasons for said play) it was smart. Cold, cruel, logical and it pretty much worked. But still, as stated - Totally F***ed up.I quite agree that they've thrashed her character at best (if not out & out marginalized her) for this story - I can only hope they correct it, in time for the next patch - or if nothing else, EXPLAIN why she's suddenly such a cardboard cut-out bad guy.
