@@anthonyfimognari5880 It's fair if your thought process came to that conclusion. However, before your complaint showed up, I've seen many people you refer to as "non black race" elated that, at last, a poem is giving reassurance to the people. "He who generalises generally lies"

As I watched Amanda’s performance at the inauguration, I found myself literally moved to tears at the emotional intensity of her words and the expression of hope. I just wanted to stand up, rock side to side and snap my fingers in appreciation. Loved her❤️

I am not from the USA, but I remember watching this for the first time and my family being speechless as they watched this. She is such a talented young woman.

For once a black woman on the biggest stage is showing our intellectual excellence. A black woman not singing, not dancing, not running, not being ratchet just being intellectual gifted. And let's not forget beautiful. The world no longer has the excuse to imply that racially ambiguous women represent black women.

Thanks for giving us the nutrients of "The Hill We Climb" by Amanda Gorman. And the extras 😀. The woman knows her scriptures. There's even a chunk of Jonah's encounters which I think some of us will do well to reflect on.

Cynthia she was extraordinary phenomenal. I saw the whole thing she stood up there and all I could think about was how Maya would have loved her as I did and many others as well. It was the BEST

The lines about everyone sitting under their own vine and fig tree and history having its eyes on us are actually lines she pulled from Hamilton. Amanda is a huge Lin Manuel Miranda fan. He even shouted her out on twitter for throwing in the lines. The section about a skinny black girl raised by a single mother dreaming of becoming President only to find herself reciting for one is both a reference to Amanda and also a reference to the background of Madam VP Kamala who was also raised by a single mother and dreamed of becoming President. Though she is half Black and half Indian and her mother was from India, she raised her to know her Indian heritage but also recognized how the world would see her and made sure to raise her and her sister as strong black woman as well. Amanda has said that she may potentially run for President in 2036. Hopefully, Kamala will be the one passing that torch to her.

Even though she fumbled, the poem was so great that I feel that many overlooked it. In addition, we have to remember that she had a speech impediment and that there probably still remains some traces.

Amanda is absolutely intelligent n have great wisdom . especially on past e present history.....she is our blacks greatest generations success....great love to our black American African QUEEN..
