I think what would've broken my heart would be if patchy gave spongebob a picture of Steve Hillenburg which spongebob would then hug.

Happy 20th anniversary to Spongebob Squarepants. Too bad Stephen Hillenburg didn’t get to see the day of celebration. R.I.P.

Ok, but can we talk about how Patchy finally met Spongebob? Like, it feels like a lot of people aren't really acknowledging that even though it has been building up for a while now.

The only thing I didn't like about the special was that weird bean part it only reminds me why I stay far away from Nick's live-action content.

I’m eighteen. I’m legally an adult. But seeing Patchy The Pirate made me squeak and cry with nostalgia.

Its especially sad cause stephen himself voiced potty the bird, but nevertheless I love his legacy and RIP Stephen hillenberg

the ocean with the CGI fish might have confirmed a theory that the bikini bottom mutated the fish into human-like fish

Fun Fact: The title card music for this episode is the instrumental of “The SpongeBob History Song”. Considering the type of episode this is, it fits.

In the beginning where Patrick had amnesia, he explained how he lost everything in the fire, referencing the "WE THREW OUT HIS NAME!!!" Scene in the past

I haven't been catching up with Spongebob for the last few years, but I did watch the Birthday Blowout. It's the best special Spongebob had in a while. Loved the scenes in the human version of the Krusty Krab.
