Crazy how the original Battle for Bikini Bottom speedrun relies heavily on the cruise bubble for cruise boosting while in Rehydrated, you only use it for the final boss.

I'm a little surprised how much love went into this game, especially in an era of cash grab games

I just love how in the Battle for Bikini Bottom speedrun, you need the Robo Patrick fight to unlock cruise boosting, which is essential to the run, then in Rehydrated, you skip it entirely. Perish Robo Patrick.

I liked the Taxi Glitch before the game got updated where you could just warp straight to the final boss from the beginning of the game. This run feels more technical and involved, though.

The fact he explains how to do these exploits just makes it so much better!

I never played Battle for Bikini Bottom as a kid (Although I was a huge SpongeBob fan, we just never got the game), but playing Rehydrated as an adult I love it!

Would love to see a speedrun of the movie game, was my favorite spongebob game as a kid. The speedrun for this game back on patch 1.01 was stupidly broken, you used to be able to skip all the way to the plankton and sponebob boss, game would give you all the abilities automatically when you did the skip.

There is SO much room for error. There is, I kid you not, and entire 4 bedroom home with a patio and a outdoor bar. That’s how much room there is for error.

You should speedrun "stray" ! It's a pretty short game and you also get a trophy for beating it under a certain amount of time I believe

the "duplicate" sock in sand mountain is actually due to the cutscene sock being separate from the gameplay sock, and the devs kinda just... didn't expect you to stand on the spot where it drops down. so you're collecting a sock that was meant to only be a cutscene object, not a collectable sock. also the glitch with the Downtown wheels in other levels isn't directly making the game thing the objective is complete. it makes the game think just for a moment that you have 11 of the level-specific collectable for whatever level you warp to, and that's more than enough to make the quest giver give you the golden spatula. technically this can be done between any two levels with such collectables, but downtown is the most useful since it has 11, the most out of all the levels.

This makes Bethesda games look incredibly polished and thought through.

I remember finding a glitch in this game where if you used patrick and used a watermelon to open the fence, right before the fence closes, you could stand on top if it and get launched in the air through the roof.

Kelp forest being overly decimated with one glitch feels so right - least favourite level for me and I always tried to do all other places first and got all spatulas so that I could spend the least amount time in Kelp forest
