So I got carried away rambling about the makeup and totally forgot to tell you what the remaining brushes were that I took with me besides the Mini Base (all from Sonia G by the way):

When I travel, I pick one color and wear variations of it the whole time. Nobody has ever noticed, and it cuts down on the large array of choices I would otherwise want (need lol) for shoes, accessories, and makeup colors. 😅

That is very creative! I am not yet at the stage that I can take only one colour for a whole week. Maybe for a weekend away haha. Gotta start somewhere. I travel very lightly also shoe-wise. Something I failed to mention is that the 3 of us (hubs, me and Nikola) travel with one luggage of about 20kg so I try to be pragmatic in every catergory.

Love the look! I’ve never tried a Dries Van Noten lipstick, though I’ve been considering picking one up lately. However, I tend to share your opinion when it comes to lipstick formulas so I’ll just save my money. Thank you! 😊 Also, I’m so boring with vacation makeup. For me it’s Boy de Chanel as my base, a bronzer, one single eyeshadow (maybe), grow gel, and a few lipsticks which I also use as blush. 🥱 boring!!!! In your last video you said that your mother in law called the vacation you recently when on her most relaxing trip ever. Your response to that made me chuckle. It seems like there are two schools of thought when it comes to travel. Those who want to relax and escape from the stress of daily life and then on the other end are people like me who are go go go and want to see and do everything while they have the chance! My husband and I joke that our goal is to come back from vacation needing a vacation from our vacation 😂 which is why my vacation makeup is boring, I want to get out the door as quickly as possible! Maybe it’s an American thing? Idk.

At the same price I far prefer Hermes lipsticks... Haha it also depends on the type of holiday. A beach holiday is by definition supposed to be mega chill. If we go on a city exploration, that is a bit more intense (but still has enough rest moments). I am a more low energy person overall.

When I travel I put my makeup in my hand luggage, so a minimum of liquids. A one and done shadow, the face palette from CT with the bronzer, brow gel and a lot of lipsticks. After the vacation I can't stand those products for a while because of the overdose 😅 Beautiful look, ❤

Hahaha hence why I never show the CT palette...hate is perhaps too strong of a word but we certainly have enough of each other after a week straight. Thank you!!!

I love a good foundation concoction to help use 2 bottles you don’t really use alone. I don’t take much makeup on a beachy vacation. Like you, I tend to only have makeup on a little at the end of the day for dinner, and go very light in that anyway because our beachy vacation vibe is very casual. You’ve convinced me! I want to try the Dior liquid highlighter! It looks gorgeous on you! I just got a few Surratt liquid highlighters and I love them. When I’ve used that up, I’ll try the Dior! Loved this beautiful summery look!!!!

I am very compulsive when it comes to waste, so I don't throw away stuff lightly. (perhaps my Eastern European upbringing..?) I have thought so many times to toss the HG foundation (the MAC I knew I woudl finish eventually) but it was SO expensive and it is practically new. I am super happy that I have found a way to use it. The Dior maximizers are STUNNING!! I am SO impressed!

AAAhhh that warms my heart!! I am passing on the new Maki-es in favour of the second keyaki set that I didn't buy previously. It will be more useful to me. I already scratched the itch for exquisite ungodly expensive brushes with the original Maki-e set haha.

I'd love to see a look using the Dior as a blush, that's honestly what's pushing me to buy - is the ability to use it as a shiny blush and maybe eyeshadow

I will definitely try that at some point. There are a few colours in the range that are certainly meant to be blushes as they are quite deep. At least for my skin tone. 🤣 I hadn’t even thought of using it as eyeshadow but hey why not!!

I don’t think I’ve traveled without Pat yet, but on my last holiday I limited it to one bronze quint. I believe I brought a Bobbi Brown quad, but that was it for eyeshadow. Thanks for reminding me about my PML trios, because they are great for travel! The older I get, the better I am at realizing what I can live without for a week or so. 😊

I did have one liquid eyeshadow with me...a bit of Pat did come along and I think for the next holiday I am back to my beloved Bronze Bliss quint. I know right! I have come such a long way with the makeup I take travelling.

I loved the sample of Chanel water fresh complexion touch in B30, but my shade is B20. I purchased a full size of B20 but.. I didn’t like it! It was visible on my skin unfortunately in a way I didn’t like, while B30 was perfection a veil of skin-like smoothness. Who knows…

Ohhhh how weird!!! I think I have B30 never tried the lighter shade. Perhaps you can still give the tint a shot. Also, at that level of coverage, the MAC Face&Body is still a classic.

They are so stunning! You won't regret them! Hmm I think there is a good variety, really depends how you want to use them.
