I'm not known for liking British vehicles that much, but the unique Excelsior heavy tank as very enjoyable. It's comparable to the Jumbo or Tiger, with very good armor and decent mobility. It still has to deal with solid shot, but it is very good.

It sounded like OddBawz was in the middle of asking if Gaijin ever play Britain just before you got flatpanzered. If memory serves correct there was a discussion a few years ago that revealed that out of the hundred or so employees at Gaijin, less than a dozen actually play the game and they only play USSR, USA, and Germany in Arcade.

i used the christmas event boxes from a year ago to explain to my younger cousin why gambling is a bad idea. burned through a couple thousand of my SL to show him that all you can expect to get are the lowest grade rewards listed.

Sorry for you, I didnt get as bad of luck with them this time I actually got a Su-76M LMFAO its a 2.0 and sells for like 12GJN as of now that's what people offer but I actually got something but did waste around 1 million SL on the boxes and oh i got a decal also and all for the price of wasting my life playing WT. Thats all Gaijin wants is your soul just give in to the darkside. You will get no sleep and be REAL unhealthy and serious back problems and lack of friends and possibly could turn into a basement troll after a dedicated amount of time....😋 But hey I got a BR 2.0 premium Russian open topped tank destoyer FML don't waste your life the boxes are not really at all worth it I really wish I didn't play this game for over a decade nothing real good has come from it. Maybe a few buddies here and there but they usually end up leaving the game or leave and come back years later.

Starting my WT tank experience with the British tree was both torturous and educational, in that having mostly mid guns and trash ammo combined with reverse gears that could generously be described as "not the quickest" taught me a deep fear of overextending and a love for safe firing positions and armor angling that would keep me alive longer Not that I recommend it as a starting tree, unless you're looking to really get into the head of a deeply depressed and cynical British tanker, in which case you've come to the right place Conqueror vid sometime? I know it's been done in the past, but I don't know if I've seen one since the last few major patches. It's... well, it's not good, but it does have a special place in my heart for some reason. Maybe its just that it embodied the disappointment and depression of the whole tree well for me when I first got to it

@wtdoober there's some gold hidden in the tree, no doubt, the gun carrier and archer are slept-on low-tier killers (also the archer is just so funny to play) and the concept 3 singlehandedly turned me into the light tank and scouting fanatic that I am. But lord almighty does the lack of reverse speed and the prevalence of solid shot and darts over aphe or other favored rounds make it a brutal learning curve for a new player. Switching over to Germany and especially Sweden after hitting the top tiers of Britain I felt like a god of battle with how much less effort it took to get kills on most other tanks. Still do love my British battle busses from time to time, though, they'll always have a place in my heart

From my own limited experience, British tanks are less bad than they are *extreme* (though some certainly are bad as well). On the old armor/firepower/mobility triangle, British vehicles tend to be extremely good at one and absolutely terrible at the other two. And even going beyond that abstraction they tend to be built around extremely niche playstyles that can be pretty weird compared to the playstyles of other nation's tanks and which may not be possible in every match. As a result they're... Inconsistent to say the least. And even when they're effective, using solid shot just isn't as much fun as nuking someone with an APHE shell and seeing their turret fly off into space.

I understand the conquer, it's still one of my favorite tanks just because how tanky it is most the of the time, I just the pre apds "buff" it used to one shot everything no matter where I shit, now it just feels like I'm throwing a 9mm projectile at the tank that magically bounces on everything

I would love to see you play either the Conqueror or M103 heavy tanks. These are two of my favorite tanks irl. I'd love to see you play them. The Conqueror especially, as I haven't seen it on youtube much.

I love how even if they trippled the shrapnel count and overall damage value for solid shot it would still come no where near the U.S 76 and 75mm APHE in terms of post pen damage.

because APHE is broken, shell momentum doesn't transfer to the shrapnel. It should make a cone, not a sphere.

I'm glad two of the most prominent WT content creators on the planet acknowledge things I notice and it's not just me: - Solid shot seems to get less and less consistent with every update - It's incredibly frustrating trying to figure out which rocks are modelled and which aren't since they started adding them (Karelia is the worst, but not the only map) - Audio gets worse and worse each update - The M42 Duster is broken and has been for years (crew don't die and it's almost impossible to ammo rack it)

Mediocrior should be called if it were by the building process choices like the cromwell (italian tank building method intensifies), so if it gets hilt by a handgun caliber bullet, it just disasembles itself with the pieces left intact ready to be assembled again like a lego set. The design it was not that bad (in paper) but the issue is that is based on the cromwell, so its like if a carpenter barely managed to make a wooden chair, as soon someone sits on it it just crumbles down by the extra weight put on it.

I got the Excelsior about a week ago from one of those Dragon SL boxes, sold it, and bought the C2a1, still think selling it was a better decision, could be wrong though, looked like you had a decent time with it. Love the video and the collabs with Odd :)

used the t-34-57 and ended up surviving multiple shots by two M6A1's by multiple im pretty sure around four shots per tank. so 8 shots total survived, then got pen on side by an M6A1 so yeah

I suggest you play the 2s6 tunguska. It's one of my favourites. Plus, you'll get some revenge on the CAS :D (I know you have like a half video with it, but we need an updated and full one with it)
