Spooky Scary Skeletons (Minecraft Note Block Cover)

Spooky Scary Skeletons by Andrew Gold and based off of the 1929 Disney Cartoon, "The Skeleton Dance".
It's that time of year again, and I have not been making note block videos as much recently so I decided why not. You may notice that it's a little faster than the original song, and that's because triplet rhythms are not possible at 150 bpm but are possible at 200 bpm with Minecraft timings. This is actually a much easier song to recreate than some of my other videos, so it only took a few weekends to finish this. Fun fact: the piano bit near the end of the song is a neat reference to Chopin's Funeral March.

Ok but seriously? This man has made some of the best noteblock remixes. Wood man was awesome, masked dedede was amazing, in the final was perfect, coconut mall had me bouncing to the beat and this one is great. I love this channel

@@franchufranchu119 thats how autogenerated note block machines work. They condense the blocks down to a certain size so that it can play the song without you having to move too much. Based on this, you can tell it was made by hand.

just a quick tip for your note blockery you can use leaf blocks and observers to get a Redstone signal that is 1 game tick (1/2 of a Redstone tick) apart from another signal.

Unfortunately the leafstone mechanics mean you have to move a wood block with a piston to update the leaves and observers, and I can't really have the sounds of other blocks in the middle of the song so I just carry out the offset line of repeaters throughout.

Im here to say, GREAT creation, also would it be possible to create words or speech using the note blocks? Possibly by setting up a few to play at the same time / overlap etc? - I am posting this on whatever Note Block creators videos that I can find. The thought came to me while listening and seeing how many great beats / songs people have been able to make using the Note Blocks.

@@campbellblock3061 The sheet I found for it has 4 different signatures, changing about every two measures, so good luck if you do give it a shot! Also, do you use a music sheet and make the note block covers by hand, or do you use an application to convert a midi file into a world file?

@@KaiTheCyberCat I actually make these entirely within the minecraft world since the only program that I know of that can convert midi to note block progressions also limits the kind of rhythms you can do. Also I do use sheet music scores for general guidance but I also do a lot of things by ear from the original music to be more accurate.
