One thing you can always count on from a Romanian is hospitality :) I hope you will continue to enjoy the countryside! If you have time you should visit some of the hot springs in that area like Sovata

The soup that you ate is either Hen soup or Rooster soup with homemade noodles. To be called ciorba, the soup needs a sour component to it, like Borș , unripe cherry plum juice or vinegar.

that lady was so kind! she was saying that she only has cheese to bring you guys and if you want something "more full" you can go to a restaurant, but in the end with the language barrier I presume that she decided to bring you what she cooked for her and her family. That's really nice :)

The Corvin's Castle from Hunedoara is one Dracula spent time in prison impaling rats. That is where movie "THE NOON" has been set, so yes spooky and yes Dracula's.

15:38 "Afine" is the romanian word for blueberries. It is a home made bluberry liquor, the fruits are probably hand-picked from the nearby forrest

@@JetLagWarriors the liqueur from blueberries (afine) is called "afinată". The one from sour cherries (vișine) is called "vișinată". The one from figs (smochine) is called "smochinată". Etc.

True but Peles is not a castle, it's a palace and it was built like one. If they are still in Brasov county they can visit lots of citadels and fortified churches. Fagaras citadel is one the most nice I visited, same with Rasnov fortress or Rupea citadel, but there are a lot more. Then move slowly to Mures or Sibiu or Harghita, plenty of place like citadels or castles to visit there as well.

Corvin castle is really ugly in my opinion. There is one spot where you can take a good picture with it but that's it. It's not taken care of. The inside is muddy and the walls are falling apart. Also the surounding city is not really nice. It was pretty disappointing. I would recommend Peles and Bran though.

@@kronks6262 I've loved my visit to Corvin castle, however, when I visited there was a thing called "Noaptea Muzeelor" and they had all sorts of events going, people dressed in knights and things like that, it was amazing. Not sure how it would have been without those events though.

@@dragose.884 Asa, dar daca numele este Castelul Peles nu inseamna ca si este castel, doar faptul ca noi suntem ignoranti si nu stim ce-i aia castel si ce-i ala palat. Oricum pe vremea aia stramosii nostri romani nici n-au avut drum pe la castel sau palat sa stie ce-i ala. In general un castel este o structura fortificata si de prin evul mediu, pozitionat strategic si unde cei din sat care locuiau se mai adaposteau pe timp de invazii. Asta nu-i nici una nici alta, nici dupa functie nici dupa constructie si forma si interior. Regele Carol isi dorea o resedinta de vara, un loc unde sa se retraga si sa vaneze, asa ca a chemat arhitecti din vest sau de la el din Germania. Toti i-au adus planuri de palat dar i-a placut doar al aluia din Germania. Doar familiile regale si alti invitati speciali erau pe acolo in vizita, noi ca romani nu stiam de interior si oricum pe timp de razboi era degeaba ca adapost, dar da, noi i-am dat denumirea de castel desi nu este decat un foarte frumos palat. Niciun arhitect nu o sa te contrazica daca-i spui ca-i palat.

Do not worry when someone does not know english or so, u already know important words as MICI and CIORBA and PALINCA :D so if u mention that people will understand straight up what u need.

yep Steve, the spinach roll looks healthier but let s go back to the fat part (called Slanina) . And the sausage must have been the real home made one,. Yummy, OMG my mouth is watering.....Correct the Pork is the best ‘veges’ in Ro. Hope you enjoy as many similar country side original / traditional experiences in Romania. Be prep for the Delta ‘s traditional food ! Have fun !

LOVED IT. I've watched your series since you came to Romania, but so far this is my favorite. is not just about the place itself but rather your attitude towards it, I guess. Not sure what you did different but had to show my appreciation. Also not sure what your budget is, but I would 10000% recommend not skipping Transfagarasn road, at least until Vidraru dam/barrage - You will not regret it, and is still open until 31 next month, not many tourists get to see it since they don't have cars or visit while the road is closed. The view is amazing, stunning, in my opinion unique in the world, lots of military lives were lost building it during communist era as a means to move military vehicles ...and we thank them for their sacrifices, what they left behind is AMAZING, also besides the UNIQUE scenery is also some sort of bear "safari" as you can see lots of bears around the road (stay safe in the car). In terms of cost is just gas money and few hours detour, think is about 2 hours away from Bran if not less, if is possible I would really love to see your guys reaction there, with that epic scenery. Keep up the great work, looking forward to see your future journey, just wish you'd make some little detours for those places less known and less visited by outsiders, such as Transfagarasn instead of the danube delta and other well known places.

Woohoooo...the Romanian roadtrip is going to be an awesome one. Interesting tour around Dracula's Castle/Museum...oh gosh, lots of spooky stuff/souvenirs there. Countryside looks spectacular...very peaceful and calm. Nice homestay/ room and food looks yum, yum, yum 👍👍👍

Vlad II Dracul, the father of Vlad III Dracula (Țepeș / Impaler ) was the founder of the Drăculeşti dynasty, which lasted until the 17th century. The surname "Țepeș / Impaler" is actually a nickname (given by the Turks) given to Vlad III Dracula as a result of the method of stabbing used by him. This nickname, is associated with Vlad after his death, has remained in use to this day. The real name is Vlad Dracul(a).

Very interesting! I like the food n soup! Beautiful scenery....the meadows.....my kind of place ...but not the Dracula castle....spooky! I have been to a few castles in England. One of which the castle was used for Harry Potter movie. Dracula verses Harry Potter.

Near Sibiu you have another wonderful Castle in Hunedoara (is the city) Corvinilor Castle.Check that one as well, is bigger and nicer, you will love it.

Peleș (Pelesh) Castle is a must visit castle too. My nr 1 favorite castle from Romania. (but it's located in another mountains area (Sinaia) so in september it might feeI colder-ish probably like in Brașov too) :D Still a place to visit (like during spring or summer time) if you revisit this country in the future.

I think that is the castle used in the movie Dracula, released in year 2020 as a 3 episode movie. I recommend it to you guys, it's pretty cool!.

Sadly unlike other years the weather is getting colder but the Danube Delta is still amasingly beautiful.

Good to see you guys back and at it! Love your enthusiasm! Btw, Ivana definitely has the right pronunciation @6:32 :)) You guys are almost Romanian citizens now :) One last thing, if you want to see the REAL place where Vlad Tepes (pronounced Tzepesh) ruled in 3 different periods, you'd have to go to the city of Targoviste and visit the "Princely Court". It's mostly ruins, but there is a tower and a mini-museum there as well. The city is in between Brasov and Bucuresti, so nearby. I'd recommend taking the Bran - Rucar road (if travelling from North to South) or even Transalpina (if you're a bit further out West of Brasov (ie. Sibiu). Sooo much to see (I know), but beautiful landscape and awesome spots of great historical importance. Brief details on Targoviste: - it was the capital of Wallachia (the southern of the 3 states that formed Romania (Transilvania, Moldova and Valahia)) for over 300 years before the capital was moved to Bucharest when all the Boyars (Boierii) moved there. It's also the city where Ceausescu and his wife were tried and executed on the morning of Dec 25th, 1989 - I believe there is now a small little "museum" there as well, if you can call it that. Lastly, near the city there is a monastery (Manastirea Dealu' - literally The Hill Monastery) on a hill and it is said the head of Michael the Brave (Mihai Viteazul) rests there. He was the first leader to unify all 3 states (Transilvania, Moldova, Valahia) in 1600 and is known for epic/legendary battles against the Ottomans. Happy travels! PS: I wrote my comment as you guys were at the Bran castle, but then kept watching and noticed that you were indeed taking the Bran - Rucar road, which I personally love. Too bad the weather is kinda crappy, but you guys are making the most of it.

If you like castles you should really check Peleș Castle ( it’s about 1 hours south of Bran ) or Corvin’s Castle ( that’s pretty far away, but it’s amazing). Glad you are enjoying Romania! 😊

Noo guys do not go yet in Delta... Try this: Brasov to Fagaras (nice castle there...) then Sibiu (super nice town) - from Sibiu a must seen Sighisoara then Alba Iulia (Super Cetate "Alba Iulia Carolina") then From Alba Iulia go up to Cluj-Napoca ( you can see "Turda Salt mine") and then Oradea city... Oradea to Baia Mare and from there to Piatra Neamt, then a must see Iasi city... From Iasi yo go down towards Buzau city (Muddy Volcanoes..) From Buzau yo go to Braila city then Tulcea city and DELTA... All away these roads there are a lot of interesting things to be seen... Have fun !!! (The good wheather will be with you next month... I put a good word for you ;) )

You should go West after this :) To Alba Iulia, Deva, Hunedoara, to Sarmizegetusa Regia (Timisoara is also beautiful but it's more far West, not sure you want to go that far); then you should go to Eselnita, Orsova, you can take a boat trip on the Danube then go further down to the Delta maybe.

I guess they don't have the required budget for that, but I completely agree that Sarmisegetusa Regia and Cazanele dunarii at Orsova, portile de fier and all those other great things around them would be more unique and enjoyable for both them and the viewers, compared to the danube delta, which most vloggers already covered. I suspect the guys from "Dabble and Travel" will cover some of those since they returned for another week, love to see two of my 3 favorite travel vloggers covering Romania at the same time, watching them both with same interest and level of appreciation.

On the way to Danube Delta You should visit Râșnov Fortress and Peleș Castle. Posada Cinegetic Museum will be Something extremely interesting and is only 10 minutes from Sinaia. But If I were You, I would have stayed in Transilvania region.
