Bench is too light and too low. You can get these on french ebay. They come up all the time. Try and find an unrusty one without woodworm...

The unsteadiness of the tool made me very nervous but interesting to watch the process.

Temper Hollow I have seen this tool used by someone with experience and who had the proper height bench and the tool is quite controllable and safe.

@@scotthaddad563 i was just thinking the bench is awful low (and somewhat wobbly) I think it would ‘do my back in’ stretching as she is, both to her right and down low.

What wood should i use when making my first spoon

Ali dedeic . start with Willow then try birch or sycamore Willow I'd great as a starter in carving spoons I loves sweet chestnut myself the grain is interesting can be bought out more by soaking dry spoon in vst of vegetable cooking oil I don't use walnut oil because of but allergies .hope that helps ya best of luck. 👍🐺🐾

Whatever you have at hand ! Green wood is always best and easiest to cut out the rough shape. While tougher to cut, harder woods give you a very nice crisp knife finish, while softer woods tend to feel more fluffy, and won't achieve such a mirror like finish.

I would cut the two pieces of wood on the ende of the handle and use it that thing as a badass sword

Adjust bench height to suit the user.
