SPOONING - This is How You Spoon - Spoons, Worms, Largemouth, Perch, Bluegill, Catfish & Laughs. We did some old fashion spooning with some worms of course. EVERYTHING. Lure, bait, and everything that swims both big and small gave us a good laugh up on top. Both the spoon and the worm did its own salt. Even added some pepper with the spoon and worm. Spoons did great, worms got the big bass, both got everything. Spoon got the big bluegill and the spoon and worm slicked up a catfish. Largemouth bass, white perch, yellow perch, bluegill, crappie, and catfish. Where the heck the pickerel? Spoon and worm in one title. Probably take months, even years for most to get all in sentence. Now that's an effective method!

Good day out there! When I was a kid the Phoebe spoon was advertised in comic books, outdoor mags etc. I had to check if it was still made. It is! I am going to pick one up and give it a go one of these days. Be safe Jerry. Happy summer!!

They great, love them, most time first choice. Keep 1/8 1/6 and 1/4 and work per depth. Worms add great to pick up the pace when it slow. Stay healthy!

Change of pace for you...spoons in the fresh....I used to use a Johnson Sprite...was good for the Pickerel covers a lot of water. Fish Your Way

Hi Jerry, if I win the lottery I`m buying that pond... it`s absolutely beautiful from the forest to the weeds and wood structure and then you have every fish on the planet there. A hundred years ago I found a 2-3-acre mill pond no deeper than 6` and it was set off from the highway by maybe 50` and the water surface was 20` below. It was not only secluded from road sounds, it also had everything in it. I used a frog colored spoon one day and hooked and lost 3 bass on consecutive casts and as a guestimate they ranged between 4 on up to 8 lbs. I lost them using my 7` Ted Williams series light action tubular fiberglass spinning rod which was too whippy to get a good hook set, oh well, my next rod was an 5` ultra-light Ugly Stick and I got my largest pickerel to date with that rod and in that pond. Love your videos Jerry, they always bring me wonderful memories, Peace and brother love to you and all.

So long you let me access I will have no complaints nor problems and any all case I will be trespassing and we'll just must have to be be the new Hatfield, McCoys. Now that I stated my peace, The hidden roadside pond! Thats amazing! Funny you mentioned the whippy rod. I actually held off a bit in this video yelling at you that if your hooks are sharp it won't matter how soft or hard your rod is your gonna hook up!!!!!!!!!!!! And some other rod stuff about adjusting and playing the moment. So I am yelling at you now, see the number of upside down i's I put!

@@FishYourWay Now are you telling me I have to sharpen all my hooks straight out of the package... damn it!!!! LOL. No Hatfield and McCoys issues with you Dear Sir you will always have free passage. Seriously the spoon I used was because I started seeing the big jumps and the place was croaking from frogs so I figured that was best time to christen the spoon, as a matter of fact the pickerel I caught there was on that very spoon. You are right though if you mess up on hook sets that`s the first thing to check. Love your call out, we all need one every so often... it shows you got our and in this case my back.

I haven't used a Phoebe in years. When I was fishing them I never had a day like yours. Congrats on a good mixed bag day. I still have a few Phoebes in the tackle box. May have to get them out again.

I know what ya mean had years like that when I just didnt even look at a spoon! Usually carry em for the trouts and snapper and bigger ones for the lake they great! Will do again!!!

Last few years been catching so many fish on trout magnets that it has a hard to fish other baits😉

Been using a 3/8 oz kastmaster with the bucktail trailer for largemouth and pickerel in Massachusetts past few weeks. Metal lures are fun and cheap!

The Kastmaster is one of the top 4 in my book, my 4 are of course Kastmaster, Hopkins, and then it`s fly fishing, the Micky Finn, and the Wooley Bugger. Your selection and species are a match made in Heaven. Peace and brother love to you and all.

I keep as few them as well for heavy and deep if I see any big marks great choice and excellent points!
