Great to hear about the kitty being healthy. 17 is a lot in cat years! Lost mine a few years ago to that kidney disease; a good thing to keep an eye out for is that you can smell it on them, it's specially noticeable on their breath and when they clean themselves. I didn't think much of the difference and him not grooming as often as he used to, just reckoned he was old and all. Big mistake... If you smell something unusual, it's good to go and get her checked out before it develops to a point where you can't do anything about it. Long live the kitty

Hey Kingly, I don't know if that's just me but every time the game is gonna crash it stutters and that's how I know it'll crash... Interesting thing that I found out is that if I Ctrl+S during the stutter I DO NOT actually crash

I find it interesting that you (and the chatters) keep getting crashes. I've always found spore to be a remarkably stable game personally. The only crash I've gotten in the past dozen hours (I tend to play in bursts) was when I was using cheat engine to see if I can change the difficulty of a save. I've only ever played the game on windows 7/8 (several years ago) and linux via proton (recently), so maybe it's an OS compatibility thing? Curious if you've tried playing the game with compatibility mode set to win7 or something like that. edit: lol I post this comment and immediately after I resume the vod someone in chat suggests the same thing.

Is it a category restriction that you can't have any non-maxis creations in speedruns? Or you just wanted a fresh game.

I played spore as a kid a ton but I dont remember that it would ever crash... tho i was playing on windows xp and glichless, maybe that has something to do with it
