I like your very level minded style of negotiating. It’s non-threatening, non-bully-like tactics that get you a lot more in the hobby when all is said and done. And YOU will get the call when someone wants to strike a deal. What’s the old saying...? Catch more flies with honey than vinegar.

I just dont get how these new era cards sell for thousands of dollars. it makes no sense too me at all. none of these players will have legendary status names like bo Jackson, griffey, Jordan, magic, etc etc .... how is it that literal LEGENDS like Jordan griffey magic bo Jackson McGwire etc. never sell or ever even in the prime days of the cards for thousands but meanwhile all these weird new era clowns sell for thousands? It literally makes no sense to me. I wouldn't pay 5 bucks for any of the cards that were shown in this video.

I think they’re assuming the younger generation is going to gravitate towards these players when they get older (Mantle for the 60’s-70’s gen, Jordan for the 80’s-90’s gen, etc..). I agree that a lot of these players aren’t going to be worth what people are paying but that’s the gamble I guess. No one knew Tom Brady was going to be huge so everyone’s rolling the dice 😄

I love how you look up cards at the show. You are very professional about it. Write down the card and price, do you research away from the table and comeback and either buy the card or make an offer on it. I hate it when I'm set up at a show and some kid walks up, asks for the price on the card, looks up the price of the card right in front of me and won't show me the comps. This is probably just me but I just find it so rude to pull out your phone and look up the price right in front of the seller.

One thing that is not often discussed is what is the dealer in the card for. Sometimes people can be more flexible to deal because they might have pulled the card from a pack and not purchased the card. Especially with vintage cards (70's, 80's).
