I’m just thinking that we are close to the top of the Jordan, Kobe hype pretty soon and watch as the entire basketball market either flattens out or dips down when those 2 cards do. Here’s the deal, I was a major card collector from 1985-2014, sold my entire collection on the cheap. Had a 86 Fleer PSA 10 Jordan sell for $11,000 the PSA 10 Sticker for $5,000, bought Kobe Topps RC for $25 in PSA 10, this market right now is overpriced by at least 65%! I’m telling you right now anything purchased after 2014 has a risk of getting cut by 50% overnight! Don’t waste your money on this new shit! Invest in older pre 1980 cards, maybe 86’ Fleer Jordan’s but nothing after 1986!

The dude that said ovechkin is going to go down as the second best player of all time needs to do some research on hockey. Ovechkin will go down as the best goal scorer since Gretzky, but not the best player. That belongs to Mario Lemieux who was on pace to reach or even break most of Gretzky’s records but had his career cut short do to cancer and injury. Also ovechkin is not even the best player from his rookie year, it’s Crosby who has 1 less point than ovechkin but also has 130 less games played then ovechkin.
@ryant.warren57373 жыл бұрын
Its gonna be interesting to see how they finish their respective careers. I've always been a Crosby fan and have always respected Ovechkin as well. It'll be interesting to see if Ovechkin can catch Gretzky in total goals......

I hate it when card collectors said stupid stuff like that. My rule of thumb is stick to the sports you know. I collect baseball and football only. Even though basketball is the hottest I don’t know enough to stay educated as well as hockey. STAY IN YOUR LANE is good advice
@ryant.warren57373 жыл бұрын
@@JusNoBS420 Completely agree. I stick with mostly football and basketball. I enjoy baseball but you strike out waaaaay too often on baseball prospects. With football and basketball, its rather easy to see who will pan out after their rookie years. Baseball has way too many hyped prospects that turn into busts. So many of these 16 - 19 year olds will NEVER see the field much less retain their rookie card values....
@JusNoBS4203 жыл бұрын
@@ryant.warren5737 good point. rc cards for basketball and football are far less. And obviously especially with football only the “cool” position players get cards. But that’s actually WHY I like baseball better. Sure you have your 1st round picks but you also have these diamonds in the ruff. I don’t collect heavy on any prospects but as they get closer to the big league’s it fun to go back and see what you have. And so you have their 1st Bowmans and draft pick cards. Then usually wait a few years as the cream of the crop comes up. But then they get their official MLB rc and even then only 50% pan out at best. It’s why baseball as a whole doesn’t bring in the “quick flip” money. Which I actually like.

Geoff, fantastic vLog of a card show. FINALLY, a video where the person is giving us, the viewers some insight/info, about what they are doing/buying and putting things into context during a Show! I love the fact that you intersperse the video with snippetts where you talk to us, the Viewers. I watch a lot of Card Show Videos, but this is by far the BEST edited, and most "cohesively" put together one. The main difference is you INCLUDE the viewer, whereas other Tubers do not do that. I am addicted to Sasha T's card show vids, but I think you just became my favorite in just 1 video. I hope this becomes a regular series for your Channel- you will surely become the #1 Card Show vLogger!

You start off slow with your collections and as you trade and hold and invest you eventually get to the point where your at a really good level to be doing deals like this. But like starting any other business or hobby you have to be passionate and willing to work on it everyday. I started just this January and can confidently say I have a 20K Card collection from starting from buying cards at good deals and pulling hits in boxes! Hey I was just wondering I am Bob in Connecticut and I basically gave off bartending because of comic books but I have had 1952 topps Mickey Mantle PSA 2 yes I sold that a few years ago I only got $7000 there was no card store that wanted to give me that. I had some other great cards but I was just wondering when you go to a card there is virtually hardly any people if you go to any comic book show they are totally mobbed and the comic book show in California and New York City they are bigger than the Super Bowl. My friend was in the card business for 20 years now he’s into comic books. I do have a superman 15.0 restored no trimming I paid $12,500 I have two copies of amazing fantasy 15 which is the first appearance of Spiderman one of them I bought for only $4000 a few years ago at the Jacob Javits center graded 6.0 . Well that just sold in that condition for $96,000 . Anyway I only got $800 for my 86 Michael Jordan fleer PSA 8 . In other words it’s never a good time to sell but I had to get rid of a lot of stuff because I never want to go back to work I only go to Yankee Stadium. I did keep my SP Derek Jeter’s and I kept my PSA 10 upper deck 1989 Griffey. I had to sell a lot of my comic books also.🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
