I don't think we ever saw the best of Tyson. I believe he hadn't peeked yet when he got rid of Rooney. If he would have kept Rooney and stayed away from drugs and alcohol I believe he would have retired undefeated and been the heavyweight goat. Just my opinion

Larry Holmes done broke rocky Marciano record because spinks did not beat Larry Holmes but Mike Tyson did beat him and Mike Tyson was the champion he was undisputed champion 🏆 after he beat Larry Holmes mike spinks did not beat Larry Holmes 78 to 88 Larry Holmes heavy weight champion 🏆 of the world.

Is hard to believe someone being at their peak in the ring by 21, 22 years old. Guys like Joe Louis, Billy Conn,Patterson, Ali, Tyson. These people really are prodigies. If you look at any other blue collar profession, most men are at the peak of the skills in their 30s.

Ali peaked in his 20s though. He peaked in early to mod 20s and Tyson peaked when he was 19/20/21.

I feel like the post-Rooney corner added nothing to Tyson. If anything they just subtracted from him. They basically just told him to go out there and do what you do with zero plan and guidance.

For me, Tyson is the goat in hw division. He became a champ again after 10 years from his first title. Amazing! But he wasn't same Tyson anymore. Time for "headbutt" and "lion" Serbia

Holmes and Spinks were out of their prime and you can't give him points for things he didn't accomplish Holyfield and Lewis beat Tyson fair and square I Lewis thing I might be able to let slide actually cause Tyson was old but when he fought Evander he was in great physical shape and he was only 30 years old Evander kicked his arse twice@@milanbelovukovic8252

One thing I've notice about Mike at this time he dont train like he boxes n the ring see how he uses head movement while training but doesn't use it while hes fighting

I agree, it’s like he would just stand still in front of his opponent waiting for an opening to throw a knockout shot , But when you see his training footage his head is moving the way you did when he was young in the 80s
