Comprehensible Japanese

Comprehensible Japanese

Жыл бұрын

I’m Yuki Kimura, a native Japanese speaker living in Fukuoka, Japan. I make Japanese lesson videos to help learners to acquire Japanese in the most natural and fun way.
Let me give you a quick introduction to my teaching method and how it’s effective.
My teaching method is based on Dr. Krashen’s Input hypothesis. Dr. Stephen Krashen, a famous linguist in the field of second language acquisition, says that we learn language in only one way. And that is when we understand messages. When we understand what we hear and read.
I will not be teaching you Japanese grammar rules or giving you a list of useful expressions. Instead, I will be talking to you in “Comprehensible Japanese”.
In my videos,
・I talk all in Japanese, slowly and clearly.
・I talk in simple and short sentences.
・I use high-frequency words repeatedly in the form that they would be used in actual conversation.
・I draw pictures and use gestures while speaking.
・I often rephrase sentences and use synonyms.
I do all these things to make the content comprehensible for you, to make sure that you understand messages.
Forget that it’s in a foreign language. Just sit and enjoy watching my videos, and you will get used to the sounds of the Japanese language and gradually start picking up words and expressions and even grammar in the contexts.
Hundreds more videos are available on our website. (cijapanese.com/)
You can sign up through Patreon ( / comprehensiblejapanese ) and get full access to the videos.
Choose your level and topics of your interest, and let’s enjoy learning Japanese with us!

先生、ありがとうございます。After recently introducing my students to てform - this is a great first activity back after the holidays to practice their listening skills and identifying the て form examples they can hear. There a number of excellent examples of て form, plus revision of family and counting, etc. 本当に役に立ちます。

I’m not good enough to actually understand anything you’re saying. I know all Hiragana and Katakana, just started with Radicals and kanji in general. Though hearing you talk is good even though i’m not underatanding you. When I have the fundamentals down i’m so excited to learn from you. You’re wonderful and never stop!! Much love from Sweden

このレズンは私の最後動画です。 私はたくさん日本語を勉強しました。 ほんとにありがとうございました! It's been more than 1 month since I found your channel, and I've been practicing and reviewing all of your "complete beginners" content while walking toward the university or just being in house. 明日私は"beginner"のレズンをスタートします。 僕は喜んでいます! You helped me A LOT. Really grateful with you. Saludos desde Argentina ( ◜‿◝ )♡

@@cijapanese Why don't you put the furigana in the video, is it so we're forced to learn the kanji?

your videos are incredible and i'm very thankful, BUT I really wish you didn't use masu/desu form in everything. TV, podcasts, radio, and other native material they don't speak this way. so we are getting all of this input that's not real world applicable. I think you should speak normally so we understand normal speech.
